Black Ops II PC users finding Mass Effect 2 second disk

Some gamers who purchased a retail copy of the PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops II have been unable to complete installation because the second disk is not Treyarch's shooter. Rather, it is rival Electronic Arts' 2010 role-playing game Mass Effect 2.

The issue has been reported by users on the official Call of Duty and Steam forums, as well as from gamers on Reddit. The cause of the error is unclear, though it appears to be related to a mistake made on the game's production line.

Representatives from Activision and Electronic Arts were not immediately available for comment.

As usual, Treyarch has delivered a much better game than Infinity Ward/Sledgehammer Games.

It's early days of course but I can already tell you at this stage last year when I was playing MW2.5 for the first time, I wasn't half as impressed as I am with Black Ops 2.

The multiplayer on the whole looks & feels far more polished & developed than MW2.5's multiplayer.. at least on the PC anyway.

On the PC would I say the multiplayer is better in Black Ops 2 than it was on Black Ops 1? No. Simply because the PC has the capabilities to be 9 on 9 at the very least & yet somehow we are stuck playing the 6 v 6 that for some stupid reason they've brought over from the consoles, it is annoying given that I play with a group of people that sometimes can be over 20 on some nights.. not to mention in Black Ops 1 we were able to have control of our own servers & remove cheats/abusive people/or make room for friends at our own discretion.

That being said, the matchmaking is without question, far, far, faarrr superior to MW2 & MW2.5. Much quicker & easier to get into games.

Loving the FAL again, I've not liked it since MW2 when it was my weapon of choice, it is finally good again in BO2 I'm pleased to say.

Early days of course, but I'm liking it so far.

It's not really a campaign. It's an adventure mode where you have to discover stuff. Treyarch only called it a "story mode" because it's basically a mode centered around the Easter Eggs that told the story of Nazi Zombies in previous maps.

Good lord the multiplayer blows. Biggest letdown of the year for me. At this point the only thing keeping me going is the achievements tied to the mp.

There's a lot of real-life surprise cameos from recent history in here. Ollie North, Barack Obama (by name, not character, afaik), Jonas Savimbi, Manuel Noriega....and I'm still very early in the campaign.

-__- this entire time I thought it was campaign because every article about zombies that came out said the world campaign.... Bummer well still tranzit is still weird... I got on the bus didn't know how to stop and next thing you know all chaos breaks loose and I die..... I need to put more time in to figure things out

Savimbi and Noriega were real-life third-world dictators propped up by the CIA, who appear in the earliest missions of the campaign. Google or Wiki 'em for more info.

I personally don't see *anything* wrong with the MP at all. Yes, it's pretty much the same as BLOPS 1's MP, so if you hated that, you'll hate this; otherwise, you'll still love it.

I think the Zombie mode has vastly improved, and become almost a separate full-fledged game unto itself; even if you don't like zombie games, you might find yourself getting into this one.

What I love most about BLOPS2 is the new tech, though --- got some crazy guns and weaponry in here. It's more high-tech than even Halo or Gears, imho. Fun and gun.

you guys think the USS Obama is funny wait til, Secretary Patreaus shows up.

Regardless I still think the Campaign's story is one of the best of all video games.

I would rate it a 10/10 for the way it interweaves history and currently tested future tech. I actually think the characters and plot warrant some analysis.

I'm disappointed with the MP maps. There's no Arctic or jungle ones. Blops 1 has some of the most diverse maps ever. This is like the crap ones from MW3 that didn't make the cut. Pretty lame.

YUP. Everything else seems to work okay, but Team Deathmatch gets into a weird cycle.

i'm not in disagreement that the multiplayer for halo blows this out of the water, but Blops 2 has a better campaign. I think with Bin laden, Khadafi, and Saddam there is enough to make another sequel while still utilizing actual history and not steeping to far into future tech.

You can't really compare the two multiplayers. Theyre both very very different and theyre both very excellent
