Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/13005815/black-ops-iii

IN THE YEAR 2065, cybernetic advancements give rise to augmented human soldiers, a new breed of badass charged with preserving our way of life. Their mission leads them to a seedy bar in Singapore, where they encounter an underworld boss and his elite squad of mercenaries. Among them is a 5-foot-11, 215-pound battering ram of a man who's exactly like the world's most ferocious running back circa 2015: the Seahawks' Marshawn Lynch.
Welcome to the world of Call of Duty: Black Ops III, the highly anticipated first-person shooter game set for release in early November. What follows is the exclusive behind-the-scenes story of how Lynch put his stamp on the blockbuster franchise. The game has long captured his imagination. Now it will carry his likeness, giving him the distinction of being the first athlete to appear as a character in a Call of Duty game.
So strap on your helmets. Here comes virtual Beast Mode.
More and video at the link.

Oh yeah, and it was confirmed to be crossgen as well (PS3 and 360, no Wii U)

Not sure who is doing it, but it outlines some differences, particularly that online co-op will be two players on previous gen as opposed to four for current gen. There are other features that are said to be current gen only, but will be outlined later.

EDIT 2: I totally lied, it says right in the article that the developers of previous gen versions will be Beenox and Mercenary Technology

A fridge?! Now that I would not have guessed.

COD always comes up with some of the weirdest special edition packages. From drones, to night vision, and now to a fridge.

At least drones and night vision goggles made sense, but a ****in' fridge? I'll most certainly pass.

The fridge is the upgrade station from the Zombies stuff, which is a staple of BLOPS, and pretty much COD at this point, so it's really not that totally random.

The beta is fun, so far. Much different compared to AW, but its fun. I keep trying to thrust out of enemy fire, and of course, you can't in this game, lol. It's definitely a transition to get used to older mechanics.

It's out? I haven't gotten my e-mail about it or anything.

For PS4, next Wed for X1 and PC. I borrowed a PS4 from a friend.

Anyone have a spare Xbox One code for the beta? Tried my code but got sent PS4 codes by mistake!!!???

Maybe in a min. Right now, none of them are working if you got codes by email. Treyarch is looking into it. It seems to be working for people who pre-ordered digital, as it DLs the beta automatically to your console.

Right now, none of my codes are working.

The beta is over, right?
It ended last night for PS4, and it starts up tonight for X1 and PC.

I really enjoyed the beta, while I was able to play, anyway. On Sunday, I couldn't find a match that wasn't lagging to the point of being unplayable. Saturday was fine though. It took a bit to get used to the new movement mechanics, but it ended up being a blast chaining boosted jumps, slides, wall-running, etc all without loosing the ability to shoot. Having the character-based power ups is a nice touch as well. My favorite was the bow, but I had more success with the gravity spikes.

Oh okay.
I never got a chance to play the beta. Once my beta download was finished (12 GB!!!), it said there was some sort of error, "Could not download". And so with less than 24 hours left in the beta i decided to just give up.

Ah yeah my codes are in fact the right ones but seems to be an issue with the actual downloading.

Guess we just have to wait a little longer now then.

Is the wallrunning like it is in TitanFall? Will be interesting to see how it affects CoD.

The wallrunning is similar, but it doesn't feel the same, and it's not as easy. It's still easy to pull off in COD, but I still think the mechanics in Titanfall are more fluid. The game borrows from Titanfall and Destiny, but the game feels like a Black Ops COD.

Finally got into the beta and so far, after only a few games, it seems quite good. I am struggling badly as its been a couple of years since I played a COD game so I suck quite bad at things like wall running and such and my aim is all over the shop but I'm still having fun, picked the bow as my specialist and is a nice new mechanic that adds something interesting to the mix. Can see where the Destiny/Titanfall borrowing comes from yeah and at least they are used well but its still very much a COD game.

Guess I just need a bit (a lot) more practice!!

In the reveal trailer, dialogue from BLOPS II was interwoven, so I assume this will continue to overall story.

This has been posted in a few threads already, but figured it might be worth a bump since it might be big news for someone here.

The PS3/360 versions of BLOPS III will no longer have a single player campaign at all. It's be $50 and have a free copy of the original BLOPS.

What!!? like a co op story or no story at all

It's just going to have multiplayer and Zombies.

Yeah, the campaign has been cut completely, co-op or solo.
