i might be alone in this .. but i hop there is alot of cameos in TDK by other DC characters.. and im not talking about the Batman family or his rough gallery. Im takling about other heros or supporting characters , like Richard Drake, Larry Lance (both Detectives in the GCPD), Dinah Drake Lance or a young Dinah Laurel Lance.
or maybe just a small Cameo by Ollie or Ted at party, maybe a reporter or photographer from the daily planet?

I wouldn't mind seeing this either, but I don't know if we'll see it. Hopefully news starts to pick up being that they're supposed to start in March.

I'd rather see creator cameos. Actually mention Robinson Park, Aparo Drive and and all those places. Westward Bridge! :yay:

Joel Shumacher should have a cameo where he gets brutally murdered by either Ron Perlman, Sam Jackson, Bruce Campbell, or the homeless man in the "nice coat."

Ha, you're thinking of Heimlich begins.

Nolan doesn't seem like a "cameo for the sake of a cameo" kind of guy. That's more Sam Raimi's or Mark Steven Johnson's thing. The closest thing to a cameo in Batman Begins was Mr. Zsasz and he was practically a featured player in the film!

yeah .. so the only one we can hope for is Larry Lance who was a friend and workes with gordon..

I don't know any of those GCPD characters, but IMO there's always room for roles like that. I mean you're gonna have some cops, and if there's a sub-plot about Gordon and Flass and the GCPD, then there will be other cops in the movie, and it'd make sense to use some names that comic fans will know. I'm all for that.

I was thinking more along the lines of small time rogues, maybe from the Arkham Disaster, or something:

Killer Croc
Victor Frieze, pre accident. Maybe he can be in BB3, with a role like in Dark Victory, in Two-Face's gang.
Pamela Isley, again pre Poison Ivy.
And in the background, some of the men from the League of Shadows, in normal attire, like they're keeping tabs on Bruce without him knowing.

That seems overdone.

I think cameos are best used in instances where they serve the plot, as opposed to being shoehorned in just to give a nod and a wink to the fans.

I wouldn't mind seeing Arkham Asylum inmates.

Like in one scene you see Robin Williams as The Ventriloquist locked up or appearing at some comedy club before Joker goes on.

I think what also would be cool is if in one scene as the commissioner is shuffling through police files and stuff, he throws away a riddle from The Riddler. Have it be a green card with a big question mark over it but he thinks it's unimportant---like some greeting card or birthday card or something.

Other cameos could be slips of people's names like Gordon is talking to Batman and tells him, "I got Montoya and Bullock working on it" or "Montoya and Bullock are checking out a crime scene. I'm going to be heading over there in a little bit."

Just little stuff like that would be cool.

like if they had Harvey Dent get a call and they mentioned a Ms Isley need to talk or something that would be a serviceable cameo.

When it's "I'm Batman and I wanna stop the Joker..."

"Hi, I'm Killer Croc!"

it's a bit wtf

Richard Drake was the original Black Canary's (Dinah Drake Lance) father.
Larry Lance was her husband and the father of the second/current Black Canary (Dinah Laurel Lance)
so now you know them :P

Slam Bradley! Played by Bruce Willis!

Aha, thanks.

Danny Bonaducci needs a cameo too. He can be Killer Croc.

Actor cameos I disagree with, but character cameos are fine. In other words, I dont want to see Michael Keaton randomly show up and leave, but name drops of comic characters are perfectly fine. Like you mentioned, mentioning (or even showing) other members of the GCPD would be great.

They definatley need to limit cameos to where they're acceptable. I dont want cameos for the sake of cameos. If the script calls for a random cop to show up, make it Montoya or Bullock, but dont just throw Montoya or Bullock in where they're unnecessary. If the script calls for a psychiatrist, make it Harley Quinn or Jeremiah Arkham, but dont throw in a pointless scene at the Asylum just so we can see them.

if they send Joker to Arkham at the end, have them talking about how the prodigal just out of school psychiatrist Harleen Quinzel will be personally over-seeing him :o

Agreed, that would be nice.
