The Dark Knight Rises Can you track the comic source?

Got a scan to compare, Mee?

ZOD, you are good !

This panel ( top right only ) of Catwoman reminds of the trailer shot where Catwoman is looking through the bars:

I'd say this whole trilogy is:

Batman Begins = Year One / Haunted Knight
The Dark Knight = The Long Halloween / The Killing Joke
The Dark Knight Rises = Knightfall / The Dark Knight Returns / No Man's Land

I'd say this whole trilogy is:

Batman Begins = Year One / Haunted Knight
The Dark Knight = The Long Halloween / The Killing Joke
The Dark Knight Rises = Knightfall / The Dark Knight Returns / No Man's Land

Roughly, yeah. There are a lot more sources though. Those are most of the major ones so far.

Holy hell, nicely done.

I clearly need to get myself a copy of Hush with non-glossy pages. Those scans look so much nicer, changes the vibe for the better. Pulpy, dim, retro-ish. Perfect for Batman.

This may be entirely subjective, but whenever I see pics of Hathaway with her piece, I'm instantly reminded of this moment (From War Games, I believe?).

Batman Begins = Year One / Haunted Knight
The Dark Knight = The Long Halloween / The Killing Joke
The Dark Knight Rises = Knightfall / The Dark Knight Returns / No Man's Land
I'd also say the Man Who Falls for Begins and Batman #1 for Dark Knight, just to make it three each. :yay:
Also I've never read Haunted Knight, anyone care to give some examples on how it influenced Begins?

BATMAN BEGINS also draws pretty heavily from BATMAN #0 after ZERO HOUR in terms of the origin elements. It also kind of adapted sequences from Tom Mankiewicz's old THE BATMAN script, the script that later evolved into Burton's BATMAN.

Definitely. Batman #0 has some striking similarities with Begins. The one that stands out the most is Wayne falling through the cistern/well. That's basically exactly the same.

The Dark Knight Rises = Knightfall / The Dark Knight Returns / No Man's Land

Not to mention all the Demon Trilogy stuff that seems to be in here, Bane of the Demon in particular.

Plus some more Batman #1 for Catwoman, and lord knows how many other CW comics. Remember the days when Prey was supposed to be the basis of the movie? Lol.

Ah, man. Such an array of influences, that's what I've loved about this series.

WB/DC did recently reprint Prey, along with Knightfall, No Man's Land, Birth of the Demon and Son of the Demon and Bride of the Demon, Bane of the Demon & Bane, etc. It's on their website. I doubt it's all a coincidence, at least for most of those titles.

Aha. Didn't know they reprinted Prey, though I just got the new Demon Trilogy and Batman vs. Bane.

Definitely has to do with the movie, just like that hardcover they did for TLH in 2007. Gonna look into that No Man's Land reprint. It's not a full collection of all the volumes is it? Haven't heard about that.

Guessing WB reprinted PREY because of ARKHAM CITY.

They may have also reprinted because when Prey was rumored to be the story line influence, people were asking astronomical prices for their issues, because it wasn't a "known" story before. I think ebay had the single issues for hundreds of dollars back then.
Alot of demand equals DC reprinting volumes to maximize their bank accounts.
And having Hugo Strange be a main antagonist in Arkham City didn't hurt either

There's quite a bit of Scarecrow stuff in there, along with a story dealing with Bruce and Lucius becoming business partners.

And good call with "The Man Who Falls", especially considering it was one of the stories in the little TPB that came with the special edition of Batman Begins.

From the MTV footage, I totally, totally geeked out at the two cops talking. "Oh boy, you are in for a show tonight, son!"

SO STRAIGHT OUT OF DKR I CAN'T! :awesome:

Wow, I didn't even make that connection. That's awesome.

Seriously? I was :applaud :awesome: "SQUEEE!" the moment he said it!

But I really loved the observing civilian character moments in DKR too. :hrt:
