Wow, that looks incredible. I'm more and more into the idea of Blunt being cast, to the point that I might be disappointed if it's anyone else. I felt that way about Chadwick Boseman when his name started popping up too, and then he actually got the part and he did a fantastic job with it.

I don't put much stock in The Huntsman failing, unless people consider Charlize Theron and THOR HIMSELF box office poison too. Making that sequel was clearly a mistake from the beginning. It was painfully obvious that no one wanted it.

I really want whoever is cast as Carol to be able to match Robert Downey Jr in the charisma department. That may be an impossible feat, but while I like Wanda and Natasha in the films, they aren't exactly scene stealers when it comes to their personalities. Not in the way that Iron Man, Hulk, and now the likes of Ant Man and Spider Man get to be scene stealers. Love those guys, but we need a woman who can nail the comedy, nail the drama, and be a larger than life character too. There are plenty of capable actresses out there.

I really want whoever is cast as Carol to be able to match Robert Downey Jr in the charisma department. I'm pretty sure they won't, but you know, I'd rather keep my expectations in check than get disappointed.

As a straight man, I can fully admit the guy is handsome as hell and I would kill to be in his kind of shape, but if I got a mancrush in the MCU it's probably Hemsworth, he's just a pretty dude lol

The hair in that picture is perfect tho. That's exactly how the hair of someone who's just flown at the speed of sound would look like.

I've tried looking for some decent manip of Brie Larson as Carol, but I can't seem to find anything. Internet, I am disappointed. I mean, there's manips of Ronda Rousey but not of Larson? The heck.

No to the eyebrows in that manip of Yvonne. It's a major pet peeve of mine when it comes to brunettes bleaching their hair but keeping their eyebrows black as night. Almost every actress that's been fancast has some good and some very bad manips done. There are some great Dormer and Winnick ones. I've even seen some acceptable Sackhoff manips.

And as far as I know, she's a natural blonde.

There are plenty of blondes who have dark eyebrows. They don't all have light ones, and even if they did, it makes their eyebrows not very noticeable at all, or makes them look too Arian.

And even this unaltered photo I've posted of Yvonne looks more like Carol than the manip above.

Same here. Blunt's version looks more like a superhero costume. The one in the Strahovski manip just looks like a uniform or a recoloured SHIELD jumpsuit, which is not what I want to see.

It's the equivalent of if a fireman gained superpowers and decided to just fight crime in his fireman's uniform. Or if an airforce pilot just thought she'd stick with her combat gear.

I want Captain Marvel's outfit to look brighter and less of a uniform but more of a costume which bears absolutely no resemblance to either Black Widow or any SHIELD agent.

Honestly I just want an actress who can embody the character and who can act. I want a director who knows what they are doing. I want the writers to deliver a good script. In short I just want an enjoyable movie with a good female main character. Not too much to ask, right?

We know the writers already but I don't really care who actress and director are as long as they deliver.

TETO (to each their own)
Fox is on their own s***ty wave-length with costumes (outside of Deadpool)
but I think Marvel and DC both have good-to-great costumes with one or two stinkers along the way (think Falcon and Hawkeye for Marvel, Superman and Deadshot for DC)

Markus and McFeely said there are a few people who will have small roles in IW Part one that then take on much bigger ones in Part 2, and I'm thinking Carol is likely one of those.

Director and casting news are what I'm looking most forward to this summer, no other pending announcement even comes close. I wouldn't mind either Brie Larson or Emily Blunt getting the role, though I do prefer Brie's age from a multi-picture and franchise life standpoint.
