I'm sure they're WGA members. Marvel would have issues if they avoided them.
It's quite common to go with up and coming directors who have made movies that the people who have seen them enjoy but aren't big blockbusters. That's nothing new.

I'm just worried about that stupid strike the WGA keeps threatening. Between this and Avengers 4 and SM:Homecoming 2 planed for 2019, I don't want Marvel to suffer their own instance like with Revenge of the Fallen where they were rushed into productions without proper scripts!
