Captain Marvel Captain Marvel General Discussion and Speculation - Part 9

You’re all going to LOVE IT. Trust me, this movie is worth going to see again, and again. I think I might see it again soon. I need to, in fact: it’s that good.
You are correct, I did, in fact LOVE IT. :D And I look forward to seeing it two more times this weekend, and two more times after that, as I already have planned with different people, lol.

Saw this at BOT, pretty cool:

The Western Bulldogs have teamed up with The Walt Disney Company Australia and Collingwood FC to celebrate the release of Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel, the Marvel Cinematic Universes’ first female-led super hero blockbuster, in cinemas on March 7.

I'm sure it's been brought up by now but for those of you who've seen it...aside from the movie itself, which I really enjoyed...

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate that Marvel Studios Logo this time around?

Just so much YES.

I'll be seeing it Fri in the AM. I hope I enjoy it as much as you flick. I do have to say that I'm tempering my expectations given the reviews here on the Hype.

Never a bad idea, KRYPTON. Hope you enjoy it too!

Hmm, you've been here for almost 5 years, 17 posts and this is the only one that shows... Not saying there's anything fishy about it but I find it a little hard to bo-lieve.

More active in discord on these kind of topics. Admittedly, I was curious how people were receiving this particular film. ‍♂️

I woke up at 5am. Damn, still more that 7 hours till my showing. Was hoping to wake up at least 4 hours or more later.

I like my fruity drinks so that Super Skrull sounds delicious.

I'm glad it sounds like people are loving it. I'll probably wait a few weeks for the crowds to thin out a bit before going to see this. Not like Endgame is coming out in a couple weeks so plenty of time to catch this before that comes out.

Kind of a relief though since I didn't think the trailers did a great job for this one. Visually it looked fine, but it wasn't like that first Guardians trailer that took me from "who are these people" to "I gotta see this week 1." But to be fair almost no trailer is that good.

I can see Photon Blast becoming a classic cocktail name in the long run.

Solid movie I say 7.75. Felt like a movie that if it was on tv anytime I could easily put it on and listen/watch.

Just got home from the theater. I honestly wasn’t all that excited to see it based on the trailers and the promotion leading into it. The best comparison I can make is that it reminds me of the first Ant-Man, a movie with a good amount of faults and issues, but took a character I’m not familiar with (in Carol’s case someone I don’t like at all) and made me fall in love with them.

I’m very excited to see it again on Saturday in IMAX. I’ll post a full review after that, I just want to hash out my thoughts on the issues. Can say upon initial viewing, I really liked it.

I really enjoyed it. While not the best Marvel film , its a solid one . It'd put it with the first Thor and Captain America.

I loved being back in the 90s again, if only for two hours. This is the first time i've ever seen Brie Larson act.

Even though I found Carol stiff at times, there's something about Bree Larson that even when she smirks, you can tell she's a bit mischievious. I thought she was totally cute but that's just me:hrt:.

I would have loved to have heard the Gin Blossoms, but I did like the soundtrack.

I felt it like Ant-Man to me too which I enjoyed about the same. Basically more about the character and a chill small scale feel.

I teared up at that.
