There’s more than a handful of directors out there that fit the material and could bring out the most of the characters, their world and the themes and ideals for which they stand for.

Jackson’s not even in the top ten and wouldn’t really have much pull anyways.

Maybe he's not in your top ten, but he's my favorite choice to direct a new Superman movie - or a Justice League movie.

Golding as Superman is an interesting choice but definitely one I could go for but for Lois Lane I could go with Emmy Rossum or Alison Brie

For Pa and Ma Kent...I would go younger but not that younger I would go with Alec Baldwin and Julianne Moore

Metallo I would go Sam Worthington

Brainiac I would go Ralph Fiennes

I think Golding looks the part, but like the other British Henry, might be a bit robotic and not entirely relatable.

Each to their own.
Someone like Reeve in Superman 3. Shame the film wasn't up tot he standard of previous two as he was peak Superman in that. Physically the best shape he'd been in & matured into the role.
