damnit my pic didnt go through!
upload the pics on the internet, then make a link.

if this movie ever happens a major obstacle is to give link a personality since he does'nt talk in any of the games .So we really dont know how he would act would he be funny and witty or would he be straight faced and serious?

Exactly, but some of the games kinda show a little bit of his personality. But such a small portion. He does seem more on the serious side. A Zelda film could be made when Link isn't the central character. A legend or famed person of sorts. Who the main character would be I have no clue though.....

As long as they don't make him a whiny little b**ch like he was in the cartoon, I'm good.

Link isn't always silent. He appears in more media than the Nintendo series.

They could pull his personality from the various manga and comics. He talks in them (Though they may not be the best written literature).

Just an idea.

I remember the comics Valiant put out with Link. He was kind of a wuss there too. I remember Zelda kicking his ass at one point. They also made him a bit of a wimp (at least at first) in a comic adaptation of A Link to the Past in Nintendo Power, though he grew to be more of a badass at the end. Still, it wasn't very good.

While we all patiently await the announcement of a (hopefully good) live action Legend of Zelda movie, here's a little something you all to enjoy. I hope this brings you guys a smile like it did for me. :)

there are challenges when doing a live action movie of Zelda:

- like i said giving link a voice and an actual personality

- also you are gonna have to change the storyline a bit now of course keep the core elements and characters like Ganon,Princess Zelda,Gorons,Zorras, etc. The thing that needs to be changed is you cant have link going into dungeons opening chests in the movie can we

There is no consistent storyline in the games so in some ways that's kind of an advantage. There are only a couple key elements that they need. The only real plot element that is required for a movie is that Link has the triforce of courage, Zelda has the triforce of wisdom, Ganon has the triforce of power and he wants to take the other triforce pieces so he can have his wish granted. Pretty much everything in between is open to interpretation and they have 25 years of games that they can pull elements from to make a story that works for a movie. Not even the characters' backstories are the same from one generation of games to the next.

Yeah, but it's a double edged sword. When you have a lack of a definitive story, then you have a chance of some GENIUS director who decides that Zelda should center around a new main character, be set in the future, and feature a lot of high speed car chases.

Just look at how they tried to f**k up Castlevania. Thank God that movie never got off the ground.

is'nt james wan attached to that i think it is in good hands i think he is a decent director

I agree, I lost interest in that when I found out Paul W.S. Anderson was directing. I haven't been too pleased with his Resident Evil films, the main characters from the game sit on the back burner while this "created-only-for-the-film" superpowered chick takes center stage :whatever:. The Legend of Zelda has the potential to be a really good film, or a big disaster. It would obviously take a director who has played the games and fully understands the characters. Even though Link never speaks, they would have to give him a personality that would best fit him in the scope of the film. If this becomes a franchise, I would like the first film to have Link as a child and he progressively gets older in the sequels.

At least they had the good sense to can the Castlevania film before Paulie-boy could screw it up. He can force an indefinite number of Resident Mila movies on us as long as they keep making money, though. And the really sad part is, Anderson has turned Jovovich into the face of the franchise, and now there are a bunch of people out there who don't even realize that her character does not exist in the games because the movies have displaced the game franchise. :(

yeah I've found the whole RE film franchise to be disappointing, and it's quite clear that the "Alice" character will NEVER be seen in any RE game due to her extreme abilities, it would be like playing with cheats. You know you've dropped the ball when you have Chris and Claire Redfield play second fiddle to a character that was only created for the film. I hope Leon Kennedy is never shown in those films, I can't stand to see him get watered down. :cmad:

how is Castlevania canned last time i checked James Wan(Saw,Insidious,Death Sentence) is directing

I remember back in 2009, they had officially cancelled it. A few months later it was stated that James Wan was directing, then later on Paul W.S. Anderson was reported to be eyeing the project. That was the last I ever heard of it, either way, I'm not looking forward to it.

I never heard that James Wan was involved... though that wouldn't exactly thrill me. He's a decent director but to do Castlevania right, you need to make it a period film... I would worry that a guy like Wan would set it in modern times. Maybe not, though.

Paul Walking Suckfest Anderson was definitely planning to do that though... it was going to be set in the present, the main character was going to be some hot chick, and Jonathan Frakes was going to play Dracula. I wouldn't even waste my time watching a piece of sh** like that for free when they play it on SyFy, five years after its direct-to-DVD release.

^ wan and his people were scouting shooting areas in Romania i doubt it will be modern
