Speaking of an unknown as Link, how about Mitch Hewer in the lead?

YES YES YES YES YES!!! I really like him, and he's great actor. Mitch has a slightly Elven look to him, so I think he'd be perfect.

I want Gemma Arterton to play Zelda. I feel like she should actually be just slightly older than Link.

Hugo Weaving should play Ganondorf.

Link doesn't really have to be blond, since several Links weren't, including the first.

Zelda is usually a few years older than Link. Most noticeably in Wind Waker, but also in Twilight Princess.

Ganondorf is always ridiculously large. Towers over everyone. Assuming other characters have roughly average height, he's at least 7 feet tall.

Hylians (Link and Zelda's race), can be pretty tall, but we've never seen Link age beyond adolescence.

I could actually see Zac Efron as Link. Say what you will about HSM, but the kid is pretty solid in anything else he's been in. Mia Wasikowska for Zelda would be good as well. And Mickey Rourke as Ganon is simply awesome.

Mia Wasikowska would be alright as Zelda actually and I stick with Jamie Bell for Link. Although Mitch Hewer does look the part although I haven't seen him in anything.

With Rourke though, you barely need to do a lot of makeup or prosthetics to give him that creepy look.
