Casting the DC Universe - Part 2

I say no to the sidekicks! I don't want them in the DCEU. I do want the Teen Titans but only if Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, Blue Beetle, Static, Terra, Bumblebee...etc make up the lineup! Nightwing is the only sidekick ill accept and he should be the leader.

I think sidekicks in the traditional way is a bit old fashioned but I don't have a problem with including their supporting cast. It would be a shame not to include Robin or Kaldur I reckon

I think it all depends on how they approach it all. That's what makes for great movies, thinking outside the box and coming up with new ways to do things that would otherwise be cliche or overdone. There was a time when people didn't think superhero movies should be R rated or dark, now look at the movies that have been made.

What about Cassandra Cain?

I agree about Blue Beetle and Static, those two characters are two of the most interesting young DC characters. I think Blue Beetle would especially make a fantastic live action tv show. I would also say include Kid Flash and maybe Aqualad/Kaldur, but the last thing I want to see is Aquaman and Flash of the DCEU having sidekicks before they even get their feet wet. Maybe Batgirl as leader? I think I prefer Nightwing alone kicking ass. I would love to see a Nightwing vs Jason Todd.

as far as casting, I really hope they go the same route as they did with SM: Homecoming. Get an actor with actually trained skills, I am tired of these fan cast of pretty (white) boys with abs. I want to believe that Nightwing was an acrobat at one point, and would actually do flips in battle.

Sidekicks aren't called sidekicks, they're more being mentored as partners and to eventually take up the mantle, even if they don't outright say it.

Sam Worthington as Hawkman
Riley Keough as Hawkgirl

Emily Blunt or Rosamund Pike as Barbara Minerva/Cheetah.

Helena Bonham Carter as Circe.

Natalie Dormer as Cheetah, Moran Atias as Circe, Sofia Boutella as Grail, Hiam Abbass as Hera.

David H you have a knack for fan casting. I especially love Dormer for Cheetah. Barbara Minerva could be fit so organically into a WW movie, she's gotta be used in the sequel

Wonder Woman fan cast

Liam Neeson as Zeus
Naomi Watts as Hera
Eva Green as Cheetah
Helena Bonham Carter as Circe

If other Greek gods will be in the series assuming there will be more gods who show up then who could you see as those gods

You know who would be a fun Hera? Melinda Clarke. I would love to see full on jealous Hera.

That said though Naome is an inspired choice

Clayne Crawford (Martin Riggs of Lethal Weapon TV show) as Vig Sage's The Question

If they go with an older Zeus then Liam Neeson would be ideal but if they go with a younger Zeus then either go with Viggo Mortensen or Kevin Sorbo

But if they go with an older Hera then I would go with Lynda Carter or if they go with a younger Hera then I would go with Lucy Lawless

Kevin Sorbo will play Zeus in the Asylum version, Wonderful Woman.

Came across this from another site, and would really like to see something like this:

Directed by Shane Black :D?

Love Booster and Beetle, but Ryan Gosling is not going to take that kind of role.

True, but you never know. He's in a film like the Nice Guys and Blade Runner afterall. He's even worked with Adam McKay, even if it's for a more serious film. If there's the right talent involved maybe he would take that kind of role. He's very good in comedy and I think a duo with him and Gyllenhaal would be interesting to watch :)

I still love the idea of James Van der beek as booster. He would be so good with the cheesiness
