Change from the theatrical version to the DVD (spoiler)

Anyone who watched the movie can see CLEARLY that after the bomb explodes, you see a burn remain of the symbiote slither down a crack that's on the ground.

I'm not saying, "Venom's alive!!" or what not, but I saw it in the movie.

I've watched it twice now, and at the end when Peter blows up the symbiote and Eddie jumps in we now just see the explosion and not Eddie being being completely incinerated. I remember reading right after the movie came out that one of the villains was pulled aside and told not to be surprised if they're not dead after all. I think this more or less confirms Eddie Brock's gonna be ok.

Hey I wish they hadn't killed Venom off, but like I said, what's done is done and there is no point in brooding on this topic anymore...yes a part of me of wants Venom to return, but i've let go. Anyways, I heavily doubt Venom is going to return...yes, I could've posted a rather creative pseudo science alien regeneration ability, but I just don't have the energy anymore to debate this topic. And at the end of the day, it's only a movie.

It's not slithering into the ground, it's disintegrating.

I just don't see how it could destroy the whole thing plus Eddie.
You dont see how it could?
I just explained to you how it could. And Eddie is just a normal person, the blast from the bomb could easily kill him.

Even though we did see some burnt remaints of the symbiote slither down through a hole; but it just seems like Raimi over-reacted with one little bomb destroying it.
Where are you getting this hole from? The symbiote is just squirming around as its burning away. There is no hole or crack there.

What are you guy's talking about, clearly the symbiote teleported away to some distant hideout.

:whatever:

When you explode a symbiote off it wakes up in New Mexico.

LOL! Or maybe it was a magic pumpkin bomb and sent it to Neverland...

Point is, let it go people, please. Eddie's dead. New Goblin's dead. You don't see very many people trying to rationalize Harry's grand comeback with something like "the Goblin formula will bring him back!". It's just a movie. What's done is done.
