The Book of Boba Fett Chapter 5: The Return of Corporate Synergy (Spoiler Discussion)

I didn't see anyone get addicted to caffeine pills.
Wait until you get a load of Grogu

Does the revamped starfighter look like that car Homer Simpson designed? Yes, yes it does. Bubble domes are a tricky thing to pull off.

I still want the LEGO set, I wasn't joking about that before.

The thread now has the appropriate title after they parked their PT, OT, ST, TCW, Rebels and Fallen Order in my Disney+.

Sucks that Boba Fett wasn't in it haha but this episode looked amazing. Bryce Dallas Howard did fantastic and put all the other eps to shame. VFX, SFX design, production design, stronger action and atmosphere really made this a solid watch for me. The script was not balanced well with the pacing but otherwise pretty awesome

Just about gave up on this. Hopefully Boba can actually get this quality and all future eps look this good from here on out.

I do feel bad saying that my favourite episode of the season so far is the one that was just an episode of The Mandalorian, but I can't lie to my heart.
This about sums it up. It's weird that this is a Book of Boba Fett episode though. :D

I liked the ways in which we progressed and caught up with Mando, though they did go a bit heavy on 'the greatest hits of Mando s1 / s2'. It very much feels like an episode that wants to reminds us of Mando's entire journey, but also show how far he's come.

Destruction of Mandalore, him admitting he took off his helmet, Visla's shield, Grogu references, new ship and BD units were all big highlights. Whatever the city was that the covert was hiding in was also quite cool.

And of course the best episode of the Book of Boba Fett turns out be the one with Mando in it and not Boba himself :funny:

I'd rather prefer if we had Mando S3 this year, than a Boba show. This episode was so much better paced and with a much better set design and VFX work than any of the Boba-centered ones.

Well now I know why the first episodes felt so cheap. Mando gets all the money. :funny:

Great episode. Of The Mandalorian. Also the 2nd time Bryce has directed one of my faves of the season. Loved all the Mandalore stuff.

Hate Din's new ship, though. It has no toilet. He went from RV to sports car like a typical middle-aged dad whose kid left the nest. :o

It's an odd choice. He's still a bounty hunter, doing bounty hunting things, so where is he going to put his prisoners? The Razor Crest had a whole cargo hold. All this thing has is a booster seat. I guess if he's just going to decapitate everyone with the Darksaber, the heads will fit fine.

The pacing was kind of wonky at times but overall, I really did love this episode although it feels like kind of a cheat since it was so Mando focused, but damn did it look gorgeous throughout.

Seriously, its hard for me to believe that this episode came out of this show when its pretty much above and beyond the quality of anything we've seen so far, but hopefully they are saving a big chunk of the show's budget for these last three episodes because this is the kind of quality I want to see more of.

It was great seeing the Armorer again as well as the other big Mando guy from Season 1 and I liked how they also went a bit deeper on the whole Darksaber/Mandalore mythology.

Not sure what to think of the new ship yet, but it looked awesome in action and man its crazy to me that BDH is so consistent now with these episodes after having the weakest one of Season 1.

I hope this was a taste of what to expect from Mando Season 3 because she is still killing it and I'm even excited to see Grogu again which should be pretty emotional IMO.

Also, I never would've thought that Peli Motto would be such a big recurring character in the Mandoverse. I really enjoy her role in these shows though. Hope they'll take her off Tatooine at some point. This episode did seem to be teasing that

Episode definitely made me realize how much I miss Mando and his story line. And that we've been spinning wheals with Boba.
Even with how intentionally pedestrian they made him, riding elevators, taking the bus, and the longest dragged out at the mechanic montage/(toy commercial). :funny:
It was still more captivating than anything in Boba.
Of course seeing him wield, claim the right to, and and train with the Darksaber, and everything that sets up, is fantastic. The exposition and flashback and mythology of Mandalor.
The new Mando Covert and forge location is also great. .
That his instinct is still to want armor to take to little Grogu, was embarrassingly heart warming.
And that along with everything else, speed and muscle, the new ship has a suspiciously designed canopy to showcase maybe a little passenger, brought me pure joy.:yay:
