The Mandalorian Chapter Three Spoiler Discussion

God, I love this show. By the way, I noticed another Man With No Name parallel in this episode. Grief and outsiders call him the nickname "Mando", which seems to have become our nameless hero's official nickname, rather like how Eastwood was called "Manco" in For A Few Dollars More.

I don't trust Baby Yoda. He's strong in the Force, and his enemies (the Mandalorian and the doctor) end up wanting to protect him as if he's manipulating their minds.
What a twist that would be. The internet falls in love then he turns out to be evil or something.

Is this how cults work? :funny:

Love this show and i think ever episode so far has gotten better. Baby yoda is just to cute and i always thought we should get a movie about yoda and like his back story. Now i known this is not yoda but still a chance to like explain some more about the species. The action in this was great. The way the mandaorla was taking people out and like imprervising made me think of batman lol.

I was expecting to like the all silver armor much less than what he started with.
I just like the beat up looking armor that looks like it’s been through a lot.
I have to admit though, actually seeing it in the show? It’s BADASS

It’s gonna be interesting to see where this show goes now that he’s gone against the guild.

I agree on his original suit. It looked more unique to his character. His new set of armor makes him look a bit too Jango Fett-ish to me. I do like the ritualistic building of his armor as a rite of passage tho.

I hope he gets a lens piece attachment and jetpack at some point.

The show so far is playing out like an rpg where he gets an upgrade every episode or so, so I'm pretty sure he'll get those gear.

That's how you incorporate game conventions into an actual non-video game narrative :)

I am glad I'm not the only one who thought of this. I know someone here mentioned John Wick, but I got more Batman vibes when he was taking out the dudes in that facility. I mean the way he used that grappling hook looked like something straight out of one of the Arkham games. Not to mention the many times he would just dissapear and reappear in places lol. Pascaldalorian was super thorough in this episode with those close quarters combat skills which was pretty awesome and badass to finally see.

I think they did a good job with the baby character. Like whenever you use a character like that, it can easily get annoying or go into embarrassing territory.

I think Favreau and Filoni really perfectly executed this character so the baby became lovable and endearing to the audience rather than being Scrappy Doo.

One of the bounty hunters reminded me of Embo, but I'm not sure it was him.

Mando infiltrating the compound was greatness! I love the galactic batman skill

And insane they were able to visually convey all the emotion of Mando's change of heart through the helmet and his actions, reaching for the missing knob.
Which is kind of a point they (and Pascal in interviews) are driving home. At some point this "mask" became the "real" face of the Mando tribe.
This show is just so great!
Not just him, but from other Mando characters as well, great acting all around. Three episodes in and it surprises me how much I love this character even though we've never seen his face.

Do you think we ever are going to see Pascal's face? Do you want to, or do you prefer him faceless and mysterious?

Good theory, but I hope not, he's too adorable to be evil.

I don't know which I prefer, but he is badass and menacing with his face all covered up, but I also want to baby Yoda to see his face. Every child should know what his dad looks like :D.

Great episode. Even though I knew he would go back for the kid, I was too anxious and worried something bad would happen to baby Yoda before he comes back for him. The last 10 minutes were intense and insanely good. At a point I thought that baby Yoda would have to help him and then the other Mandos arrived.

I think we may see his face but if that happens it will be tied to something huge, like meeting with his dead mother or something like that.
The event of Mando removing his helmet must be of significant importance to him.

6. So considering the Mando was flashing back while thinking about his armor and the kid, someone has to have saved him from the Super Battle Droid right? I really, really, really hope it is you know who... :boba:

We saw Mandalore during the Clone Wars, My theory is that Obi Wan, Ahsoka, or Anakin saved the Mando from the Super Battle Droid

Yea, out of the possibilities mentioned above I'd guess Yoda.
