Apocalypse Characters in Apocalypse

If time travel erases OT timeline or splits timeline I don't know why singer called Apocalypse mostly FC class sequel or inbetweenequel

Because he said...

I call these movies in-between-quels. It’s a mind-**** sometimes in terms of where things fall in the timeline!

They happen inbetween the other movies time frame. He will not give away what will be changed continuity wise.

It's not the best way of describing them because everyone looks into what he's saying too much. Just calling them sequels would have been a much better approach.

Neither do I.

I remember Bleeding cool saying something early about everyone returning, but I think they were just assuming.

Wolverine (Jackman), Professor X (McAvoy), Beast (Hoult), 80s Cyclops, 80s Jean, 80s Nightcrawler, 80s Storm, 80s Gambit against a classic X-Men villain like Apocalypse... man that sounds like a dream come true...

Let's hope the costume designers make more of an effort to respect the comics...

Is there enough time to introduce Cyke and Jean and possibly Nightcrawler and Gambit along with Apocalypse?

look at how many characters the first X-Men film introduced. or the second one, or the third, or First Class

True but to have a complete Apocalypse story is a lot of like info. I want them all there, just wondering if this is just the beginning of Apocalypse or what

I don't think there will be that much introduction necessary for Cyclops, Storm, Jean, and Nightcrawler, these are well known characters

Exactly. They could easily incorporate 4/5 "new" characters plus Apocalypse. Especially so if Wolverine is absent. X2 did a pretty good job of servicing a larger group of characters. And the writers responsible(or at least in part), for that script, are back for XMA.

I think they might need a lot of time to introduce major players. Especially if they start the movie and those mutants aren't recruited yet. Also they will probably give a lot of screentime to Apocalypse to properly introduce him.

The timeline will be OVERWRITTEN, not split. Altered. :007

At this point, I want two more X-movies featuring the classic eighties X-Men and set in 1987-1990.

Cyclops (18 years old)
Jean Grey (20 years old)
Storm (????? Teenager)
Nightcrawler (???? Teenager)
An older and wiser Banshee
Gambit
Beast

Of course, not included: Wolverine (no adamantium), Colossus (he's a baby), Iceman (he's a baby), Rogue (she's a baby), Shadowcat (she's a baby), Bishop (not born), Warpath (not born), Blink (not born), Sunspot (not born), Angel (his powers manifested in 1996).

There is a big chance it will be split from whats been said

and nightcrawler will likely be in his 20s because unless they messed up the bentbullet website i would say mystique would have given birth to him in 1963 or 64, and you could say well maybe mystique isn't his mother or azazel isn't his father but then you are either throwing away an interesting relation in this universe because they are to lazy to explore it or throwing away the obvious choice for his dad

why so many people keep forgeting Havok is part of the past timeline? Singer has kept him in Dofp, so more than likely he wont drop him right when young Scott will be introduced. That would be so stupid

^^ yeah well, thats what they've always done on the x-films, drop interesting character relations because theyre too lazy.

I loved x1 and x2, but at this point, I'm so tired of them just throwing characters at the screen with no character development.
Can they incorporate 4 new X-men in the middle of an Apocalypse story?? Sure, but they will get little to no development if they do. Maybe young Jean and Scott get some facetime, but then Storm, Nightcrawler, and Gambit will get shafted, especially if Wolverine's around.

Look at FC, we had a ton of new characters, and the only ones who got real development were Xavier, Beast, Magneto, and Mystique (all pre-existing characters too) Everyone else was barely a character. Havok and Banshee? I don't know **** about em, and one of Havok's most important relationships was totally deleted. And that was in a much smaller scale story than Apocalypse has to be.

I wish they would just pick a core X-team and build the films around them, as opposed to trying to fit every mutant ever created into an X-film for 5 seconds.

Your lists are pretty good, I would love to see Cyke, Jean, Beast, Storm, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, and Gambit as the team (with Colossus, Psylocke, and Iceman thrown in, if I had my way) I'm just afraid they won't be developed the way they need to be.

Yes this is what I wanted to say. Apocalypse is a bigger story, and to have these guys (Cyke, Jean, Nightcrawler, Gambit) they need to be fleshed out characters not just action people with 5 lines the entire movie like Banshee and Havok were.

I don't think Wolverine will part of the 80s roster. But with Mystique/Magneto having a presence again, I think some of the mutants will get shafted. And like I said this is supposed to Apocalypse's origin story. So they will put a lot of focus on him.

To be safe, I think they should just bring in the younger version of Cyclops, Jean and Storm. And save Nightcrawler/Gambit for future movies.

FC cast + Cyke/Jean/Storm + Apocalypse = thats already 8 characters and I'm sure Apocalypse will have his minions following his orders. I also think Toad/Havok/Quicksilver might appear in the movie.

Poor Wolverine, his time travel is useless then. The whole movie would be useless and pointless.

If what's been said is true

by the end we will see the new future that wolverine wakes up where he succeeded in his mission but due to the events of DOFP or at least something that happened a new alternative timeline would be created and split from the other one from 1973 onwards, like split the 1973 events and sent them in 2 seperate directions

Sorry, this means the timeline has been OVERWRITTEN.

DOFP has over 14 characters and that doesn't include smaller mutant roles like havok, toad or rogue, or the human characters, and if we exclude one set of xavier and magneto because there is already 2 sets of them, then that's still about 14 mutants (even without one set of xavier and magneto)

Basically you can have a lot of characters if they are written to work for the story, there is going to be a lot of mass distraction I am sure hey will want quite a lot of characters

DOFP is a different movie and most of the characters in that movie don't need much introduction and origin story-telling. The only characters in that movie that needs some introduction are Quicksilver, Bishop and Trask. Sunspot/Ink/Toad/Blink/Warpath seems like background characters. The rest, we already saw them in the previous X-Men movies.

In Apocalypse, if they try to bring the younger version of Storm/Cyclops/Jean and then Nightcrawler/Gambit. I'm not expecting those 5 to be at the mansion at the start of the film and be the X-Men, it would be like First Class, where would meet each character one by one.

I hope Singer gives enough time to the introduction of young Cyclops and Jean, at least. Id love a great introduction for my dear Kurt and Remy too, but Im not expecting great origins for all of them, sadly, so I hope at least Cyclops gets a great introduction and role
