The Dark Knight Rises Chris nolan on for batman 3???

I'm guessing this thread will remain open until it's been 100% confirmed that Nolan is back for Batman.

Nolan wont leave, if he is going to stop doing the films it would be after the 3rd

Na I didn't. And I'm glad I didn't because I would of ended up getting banned myself.

Going by Nolan's past track record, it's pretty safe to say a third Bat-movie is in the works.

You dont know that.. Guys when it is announced that Nolan is all of a sudden off of Batman 3 Project. Dont be suprised.

He'll be back, I don't see any reason why he would not be back. Whatever type of budget Nolan wants from the WB to make this movie, he'll get it.

Yea I don't see why he wouldn't be back. He'll have whatever budget he wants, and complete free reign over the project.

And he won't be known as the batman guy, seeing as he is making Inception in between.

Coming from someone who loved The Dark Knight (still had big problems) I can honestly say Nolan should leave. Dont do a part 3. also I'm tired of seeing christian bale a batman. I'm not against him, But I dont wanna see him as batman anymore. Why? because he's done all there is to do. I didnt see batman evolve from BB to TDK. Bale just did what Bale does. He kept that same thing going. Here is the clincher I know he has it in him to do a kind of batman that will blow people away, But we will never see that partially because of the PG-13 rating. Bale is now handicapped by the times, This industry is never going to allow him to be the kind of batman he can be. (Same w/ daniel Craig regarding 007) Now, Going forward I beleive the only way to do these batman films is to start doing individual interesting takes on the character. Nolan being the intelligent man he is, may have made up his mind long ago that he wasnt gonna do another batman movie. Time will tell. All I'm saying is. IF the news hits that Nolan is all of a sudden out and WB ( Those money guzzling comic book tyrants ) is on the hunt for a replacment Director dont be too shocked.

How was Batman supposed to evolve? TDK took place maybe a year after BB and nothing of any great significance happened between the two movies outside of Dent's election. He'll probably be a slightly different person in B3, more brooding perhaps. Of course, it's up to the writers to evolve his personality too, not just Bale.

Any actor who plays the Dark Knight is going to have this problem. The PG-13 rating won't disappear with Bale.

What do you mean by "individual interesting takes on the character"? You mean on the part of the director? They're going to be limited by the PG-13 rating just like Nolan was, and a new director may not have his level of creative freedom. Just curious, what's so terrible about the Nolanverse that you want to see another director take over?
