Justice League Ciaran Hinds is Steppenwolf

Nice! Quite alien-looking. And, yeah, he seems like a combination of Kirby's and modern Steppenwolf. He even has a "goatee" of sort, heh...

I hope we see him in next trailer.

Precisely why audiences shouldn't confuse him with Ares, and yet, some will probably do so regardless.

With the two action-figures I can see the similarity, but I don't think anyone will be confusing them in live-action.

Which reminds me that Ares action figure looked different to his look in the film, so this probably isn't most accurate look of the character. I do hope it will be close to this, though.

True. The Ares action figure has such a distinct look as well. I'm honestly kind of baffled (and mildly disappointed) as to why they opted to go w/ something else in the film.

:whatever: In what way are WB going for a Marvel vibe? Not one DCEU movie is like a Jarvel movie in style or tone.

that's what the sarcasm face was for...: no need for a:whatever:
...you know...all the panic or joy from the news that Snyder had to leave and Whedon will "save" the DCEU kinda talk...

just wanted to post the song for your listening pleasure...

It's one of yours - Donovan...
...Sunshine Superman...

Steppenwolf looks fantastic, and gives me hope for Darkseid down the road. Does anyone else think they'll go for a more alien look for all the new gods, including the more human looking ones like Orion and HighFather if they show up?

I'd like the New Genesis inhabitants to look more angelic where the Apocalyptians look more demonic (Orion's angelic image would be generated by technology or maybe he can change his appearance a little).

Some people have pointed out that the coloring is wrong for the Batman action figure so maybe the color of Steppenwolf's armor will be a little different in the movie.

I really... don't understand this post, so I'm just going to back away carefully with a fixed smile on my face...

If we do get to see the gods of New Genesis I hope the costumes are completely accurate no matter how ridiculous they look.

No, if something looks ridiculous either scrap it, or update it in a way where it no longer looks ridiculous.

I just want the forever people in their full wacky glory.

I'm really hoping they had New Gods to the DCEU slate.

I think it's pretty clear...not sure why you don't understand.

I used a sarcasm icon to show I was being sarcastic about the idea that the DCEU was copying Marvel in some ways to make it more palatable to a wider audience by using POP songs...(which they did in the trailer with Come Together :cwink:) I think you may have thought I believed that.

I posted a song that mentions Superman and Green Lantern.

It is written and performed by Donovan...a British pop star. Since your user info says you're in London, I presumed you may be British, hence the "He's one of yours" reference...hoping you may like it. The song that is.

Hope this helps...

Mate, that song was released in 1966. I'm in my thirties. We're not all running around over her listening to music from 50 years ago!

I know about as much as about Donovan as you do The Castells.

Lol I think you did say something about watching the SW or Superman series in theatres back in the day or something, and I did think you're in your 50s until just now :oldrazz:

A good costume designer like Wilkinson can make the Original costumes work with minimum changes, by using the right materials and by tweaking the colors a bit, that is, accentuate certain colors and suppress certain other colors.

A quick and modest manip I did, loosely based on the action figures seen the other day and on the actor's face.
Looks like Yoshimitsu ... heh.

m1ll3r: Siri,- find obscure American band from the 1960s so I can post inane reply. :sly:

I posted the song here -so no one had to run around and listen to songs from 50 years ago. It's before my time too, like most of the GOTG iconic songs and the JL trailer using Come Together. I thought it was another cool reference song. Same guy did Mellow Yellow BTW.

We are all here enjoying (more or less) CBMs of characters 75+ years old. I don't think you need to previously know something to enjoy it.

No worries mate. Sorry you didn't like it.

Was to be expected, though... like Cumberbutch as Smaug and countless other examples. I'm glad they're using his facial expressions instead of going full CG and doing only the voice of an actor.

I would wonder how much someone like Spader was actually with the Avengers cast.
