Civil War #3 prediction

This would explain the front cover of a fourthcoming Ironman book. It has Sentry about to fight Iron man. I cant see Tony lasting that long against the power of a million exploding suns. Unless its the 'doppleganger' version of Sentry we have seen in the New Avengers. :)

*sigh* "doppleganger"? i haven't been reading new avengers much, but there's now a doppleganger sentry?

No, he's just referring to how weak the Sentry has been acting as of late.

The Sentry's "weakness" (which still puts him up there with most of the heavy-hitters of Marvel anyway) is explained in his mini-series. I don't see what the big deal is. You'd have to have been pretty naive to believe that anyone would have the Sentry at his initial power level as a regular member of a team whose most dangerous enemy was, until recently, Electro.

I havn't read the last two issues of Sentry yet, how is it explained ? I heard it maybe linked to how confused the reader is to what his powers are ?

I will possibly kill Joe Quesada if he allows Millar to break up Reed and Sue. I never thought that we even be an option in comics, since thats what the ****ing team is based on.

They've been seperated before....I don't like the idea of a divorce either, but its not exactly a stretch.

No....I know he thinks it will create drama, but those two have been married since the 60's. You just dont screw with that. If they really love each other, it shouldn't matter what side their on. And they should realize the two sides fighting isn't the answer. C'mon, what about FRANKLIN? Not to mention VALERIA!?

Or whatever their girl is.

In one of the recent issues, they almost lost them to CPS...and as I said they've been seperated....recently there has been alot of tension....tension leads to drama....and maybe other things...

At Marvel.com their solicits pages show a Fantastic Four: A Death In the Family. Don't know if its a ruse or not, but the information about Sue dying in a future issue related to Civil War has been on Marvel's site for a while now.

This was a one issue...nothing to do with Civil War.

Pun?

I quit reading Spidey right before Deodato joined on as artist, as an act of rebellion because I love JRjr so much:(, so I missed out on Sins Past and still hold JMS in high esteem:) I am sort of tempted to pick up a few recent issues of ASM to complement Civil War but eff that, I'm too poor. I get the gist.

i think that cap would feel personally betrayed, and someone strong as f#%@ing hell will join cap...i think INVISIBLE WOMAN too

I think Thor's coming back, but I wouldn't think Thor would involve himself too much in this. He's a god, he's a foreigner. I hope he comes back to life and just leaves the way Namor has chosen to not be involved with this stuff.:o

I'm pretty sure that if Thor does come back (finally) then that is going to be his attitude. He's probably going to be more interested in restoring Valhalla and finding the other Norse gods that immerse himself in the petty squabbles of mere mortals (although I'd be curious to see a fight between him and the Sentry).

As for the possibility of Reed and Susan breaking up, it certainly looks as though things are heading in that direction, although the split probably won't happen until midway through the series and probably only when Reed finds out Susan is spying for the resistance. Then after Civil War, we'll deal with Marvel's first family in the midst of divorce proceedings, with Reed and Susan battling over custody of their kids, while the FF is made up of Reed, Thing, Black Panther and Storm (after all, Joe Q does like marriage. Just only between characters with completely different backgrounds, from completely different comics, each with completely different milieus who are brought together solely to attract a particular demographic.)

It's pretty likely. Especially how they keep insinuation how an old face will come back in a bolt of lightning to change the tide.

OK, new to these boards so at least only minor beat-downs for this please but:

We know major change is coming for FF

The way it's looking Sue and Thing will join resistance, but they both need something to push them over the edge

Someone has to die

Johnny's lying in the hospital in a coma

Connect the dots

also stupid question but how do I post an avatar. I sell this **** but I can't work it to save my life

Thanks! I'm serious about johnny though, I really think he's gonna be the one to go...

I think it's Thor's return. I mean we know he's comming back. But then agian is that "BIG" enough to be what they are talking about over at Marvel?

Why do people think it's splitting up Sue and Reed? Husbands and wives can disagree and not get a divorce. If every couple that disagreed about something got a divorce no one would ever stay married.

Wouldn't that also disolve the FF? It'll be interesting to see what happens.

Maybe they'll kill Aunt May again.

spidey's unmasking wasnt millars idea, in fairness. all these ideas are probs people who dont have to directly take the blame/ JQ's. woops, totally out of context, lookin at wrong page ;)
