Clash of the Titans Sequel May Start Filming next January

I saw it last night. Better than the previous one but still not great. The appearance of Bubo wasn't as disrespectful as the original.

It's the same writers who wrote the screenplay for Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, so I'm not worried.

Pretty much, it all falls on that with Ninja Turtles. From what I've read, Liesbman handled the action well in 'Wrath'. Being the journeyman director that he is, I think he wasn't too involved with the screenplay (Greg Berlanti was). Liesbman is overlooking the TMNT script with the MI: GP writers and Kevin Eastman, in whom I prefer over the more..cynical Peter Laird.

With Ninja Turtles, if the script is good, it might be Liesbman's first legit film. I don't hate his films, they are just mediocre. Or maybe I'm just using that as a crutch because my heart is soft for TMNT and I don't want it to fail, in which it totally could.

I think Liebesman is talented. I liked Battle: LA, but this movie doesn't inspire me with a ton of confidence. Especially with his comments about Bay talking about the Turtles being aliens.

There's a lot of backtracking on Bay's original comment. Even though it's been overblown, does a guy like Bay need sympathy?

anyway, I believe that the backlash can enhance the film especially since they're still writing the script. Liesbman is now aware how TMNT fans are anal.

That's all we can expect from it since I'm sure the story and dialogue wasn't anything special.

Two stars per Ebert. Said it looks good with all the monsters and what not, but the sense of scale keeps changing in regards to how big or small everyone and everything is.

Very pleasantly surprised by this. I saw Clash the night before and thought it was horrible. I'd consider Wrath a bit above average for general movie goers, but if you love action you'll be able to look passed it's faults for a really good time.

The characters aren't deep, but the movie still does a good enough job with them and the dialog isn't the best but it's also not laughable.

Just saw the 41% on RT. Was hoping after the first brutal film they would make up for that by making a good film. Plus the monsters looked cool. But Im disappointed in that most reviewers aren't liking it.

However, I'm still on the fence whether or not I want to go see this in the theatres. I'm a big fan of that Ancient Greek mythology stuff, but the first movie still disappointed me. a lot.

True that. Especially if its the critics job to criticize. I'd rather see a critic point out flaws rather than how amazing a movie is.

I'm actually more wary of positive reviews than negative reviews. However, I don't let negative reviews prevent me from watching a movie I'd want to see.

Yea and the majority of the cinema going public don't know what good movies are, they just know what they enjoy, which is a big difference. Most people who go to the cinema just to have a good time and waste a few hours, which is totally fine, i think we all do it sometimes, and there is nothing wrong with enjoying a bad movie. But that isn't a critics job. They get paid to critique films. They can't share the same mentality as a teenager going to watch a flick with his girlfriend and make out in the back row. See what i'm saying?

There is a difference between good mindless action movies and bad mindless action movies.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to Edgar Ramirez as Ares. From the trailers and clips, he appears to be an interesting villain.
