this movie does not fare well on home video.

i wasn't the biggest fan of the movie in the first place, but i can't see this holding up to multiple viewings, especially not on dvd. this is a big spectacle movie that should be seen in the theaters, at home it's even more "meh".

i think i already know the answer, but i'm just making sure...

...this isn't coming out on blu-ray anytime soon right?

To each their own. I put this in my Blu-Ray player, and I enjoyed it as much as the first time I saw it in theatres.

I definatley want some pics of when they're in the building saving Beth and looking down on the monster, kthx. lol

Hey I just watched the special features, during the designing the creature section the lead designer said he and the director had more empathy with the creature when the lead designer came up with the idea that the creature was a baby. And it's cries were for its mother... okay, so something to consider for the sequel.

,
?

Definitely! I haven't seen the feature all the way through yet, but JJ said this recently:

"There’s no commitment to doing a follow-up. Unless there was something that really inspired us."

I wonder how active they are in developing a sequel.

yeah I hope you guys get some good big clear pics up soon I've been dieing to get one to set as my Wallpaper.

i rented it today, but was disappointed cause they didn't have it on blu-ray yet

If you leave the DVD alone on the last pg of the scene selection another chapter will unlock with all the viral stuff used. It's pretty neat.

how about some new gifs from the dvd quality version?

Bought it this morning. Watched it right away.
