This is what I would say is our first look at COBRA COMMANDER. True it's not like an actual movie pic but these "Galactic heroes" are just deformed versions of what the characters actually look like:

I agree. I think this looks terrible, but it's actually not as bad as I was imagining, oddly. Get him a good voice, and a Cobra symbol on his forehead, and he'll grow on you.

as bad as it looks, it's still a cartoon version of the actual mask. Just look at Duke and his 'live action' counterpart. I hope the CC mask looks better in live action.

I saw the back-art a bit before I saw this thread yesterday, and I was actually OK with it, because I had a feeling it would be off. But when I saw the actual toy, I lost some faith because the helmet/mask is clear, and I hate the thought of having a somewhat constant clear look at his face. Odd that the artwork on the box seems like it's not see-through.

I guess I can't be too mad, though I am, since his costume is very reminiscent of the 'Battle Armor' suit he featured in the latter seasons of G.I.Joe. Still, it's a goddamn dumb, overly gritty costume. So basically he goes from Dr. Satan and then turns into Jason Vorhees. Excellent

I don't think the helmet is clear. I think it's made of nanotechnology, like Destro's, and this is how the toy represents its ability to morph and change.

He looks sort of like a cobra...which the original...does not. So...
