You think that would've worked?
I don't like the new punisher guy, no offense.
Hmm.
I think he would work, but why can't he play 2 marvel characters? There are other celebs who played more than one comic book character.
Just got back from seeing it in Australia...ooooohhh man, there are soome doozies. What did you guys pick up? I can't remember a lot but here are some I noticed.
WARNING: A few potential BIG spoilers...if you're a huge Hulk fan, do not read below the lines within the spoiler box, the surprise is worth it. Maybe don't read this thread at all...
- A memo to Nick Fury - Dr. Samson written on paper somewhere
- WWII Super Soldier program
- Tony Stark (haha, a little hard to miss...)
- Stark Industries documentation in the opener
- SHIELD database, SHIELD documents, etc
- Samuel Sterns (and holy crap how good was the guy that played Sterns!? Eccentric, over-the-top, power hungry, science hungry, it was phenomenal.)
- The best Stan Lee cameo of all time
- In Guatemala when Banner's on the run sleeping on the streets, I'm sure I saw some Hulk writer's names carved into the green roller door...can't remember which, but there was definitely some there.
- Bill Bixby TV show early on
- Lou Ferrigno as a security guard
- College reporters named Jack McGee and Jim Wilso
- Serum canister had name of it's inventor (Dr. Reinstein: in continuity with Captain America's Origin) as well as being labelled Weapon Plus
- Culver University similar to the Culver Institute where Bixby worked in the TV series pilot
- Rick Jones listed as an affiliate to Banner in an opening credits shot
Plus loads more I can't remember. Anyone catch any others?
--------------------------------------
- Sterns transition to the Leader with the bubbling forehead and the accompanying ear-to-ear grin...got me excited as all hell!
i'm not sure, but when Bruce and Betty are talking while she's giving him a haircut, she says she can't believe he cut his own hair all this time. and he says "yeah, i did it with clippers". this might be a nod to the 90s comicbook Hulk who's haircut did look like it was cut with clippers.
Now for the portrait. Maybe. If it was him that I saw, them gambit had a better cameo in X-2. I did see a portrait hanging next to the doors of the room that Blonsky entered. But the portrait was so far from the camera and not focused on, (I knew what I was looking for) all I could see was a black and white portrait of someone with a star on their chest. Now I am not a big Cap fan so I am sure I am wrong, but I couldn't remember if he had a star on his chest.
RE: Spidey or DD.
Looked at the scene again. And by golly, I think that was clearly Spider-Man and for that matter, I think Thor was in it also, and Wolverine was in the bar drinking with General Ross. Plus that had to be Luke Cage. And Norman Osbourne had an off camera conversation with Doc Samson about putting a team of Thunderbolts together. And then Wolverine, Hulk, Spider-Man and Ghost Rider opted to leave their franchises to take over the F4. This movie was so full of cameo's I couldn't believe it.
And in case anyone thought that last paragraph was actually serious. It wasn't I think people have looked way too far into the movie and are coming away with things they wished could/would happen.
oh i don't know if this has been said, but i thought it was very cool how in TIH they showed Bill Bixby on the tv set, in his old tv series called the Courtship of Eddie's Father.

lol! those guys on that website are extremely sarcastic/obnoxious.
besides, i think we're all over looking the fact that we actually all did see a Captain America cameo. maybe not in appearance, but definitely in character traits/abilities. Emil Blonsky... supersoldier serum. and it was awesome!
I don't know if it was mentioned but I think that the black and white soldiers who get crushed by Abomination with the taxi cab are Rock/LaRoquette and Redeemer/Saunder's. Notice how Saunder's says sweet when he picks up the bazooka, Redeemer's armor is decked out with heavy artillery.
I didnt see the Captain America vid on here. I couldnt believe it myself, but yup there he is. Watch over and over again right when he says "you might even see captain america, you see him for a split second.
After seeing 10 Times now, I have to agree, that the picture on the wall where Blonsky is sitting outside the office waiting for Ross Does look like CAP. I do see a guy with a star on the chest...But nothing is for sure until the DVD and we can do a freeze frame and zoom .
Or a more evident cameo of CAP was in the arctic scene which got cut....
For those that a getting about not seeing a good clean shot of CAP. Just relax.....the director said you "MIGHT" see Captain America himself. The might doesn't mean you will for sure see it....apparently it probably got cut (the arctic scene).
