The Dark Knight Rises Concerns about TDKR

If WB and Nolan want Bale to change his voice, then it might be done. Of course, a reason for the voice change should be explained in the movie lol; just like the reason to make a new batsuit in TDK. Batman's voice box is severly damaged so he dropped the cryptic voice.

Lol they dont need to explain anything, thats way to small of a change to need any explanation. Did we need explanation as to why he changed his voice from BB to TDK?

I have a concern about whether Bale can pull his own among all of the talent. He's not too talented that one.

If I had to guess...

I would guess Bane is going to be portrayed as a parallel to Batman in many ways. I'm guessing he's going to be "a legend, a myth"... someone criminals and good guys hear about... like the boogieman... but nobody knows if he truly exists... Then it ends up he does exist and he's an extremely intelligent best-in-the-game assassin. I'm sure Bane will have the goal to kill Batman (unlike the Joker), but he will also be out to set an example to the rest of Gotham that when you fight crime in Gotham you end up dead. I think Bane will want to show all the Bat-copies and Catwomen out there that fighting crime in Gotham is a dead-end.

Only how the mob will be handled. I really thought Black Mask would be in it. It's okay if he isn't though.

Nolan is a talented filmmaker who's proven himself many times... So I have no doubt Anne HAthaway will work as Catwoman

My only concern is that with the super success and popularity of TDK, there will be unreasonably high expectations for TDKR... which won't be fulfilled, and thus a general sense of disappointment amongst the general audience.

on another note... Kind of random, but it'd be nice to see Batman not so clean shaven once in a while.

-Stupid looking Bat related vehicle
-Stupid Batman voice returning
-Hathaway looking stupid/ugly as Catwoman
-Bane looking stupid
-The tone being too serious
-Action that happens too fast
-Batman looking stupid again because of his mask
-Dumb jokes
-Batman not being smart enough
-A joyless looking Batcave
-Bad deilvery (in terms of dialog)

It will be serious. I'd save yourself the worry and get over that one right now.

:hehe:

Just thought of a concern. Length. BB had appropriate length since it spent an hour telling the origin story. TDK was 10-15 minutes too long IMHO. Hopefully they don't go crazy with TDKR and make it even longer than TDK.

I hear ya. Hopefully Nolan is producing a completely different movie and It's smarter, faster and has great clever dialog. I want to see some razor wit and a souped up Batcave. I don't want to be wieghed down with some heavy @ss drama. This picture is ripe for some biting humor and great dramatic moments.

I'm liking the idea of Bane and I'm not really worried about Hardy. I just hope he doesn't look like some bondage character! I want to see a smart competent Batman, displaying even more skills. I want Batman in a costume that looks more like Batman. I think Anne Hathaway is going to be great, and I'm not worried about her as Selina. I just hope she looks really good in this as Catwoman!.

umm, and I also hope Bale doesn't look silly sitting up in a full body cast drinking from a straw and trying to communicate with Caines Alfred! :)

The length of the movie has nothing to do with the quality. As long as the movie maintains it's momentum, I wouldn't mind a 3 hr movie.
TDK lost it's momentum after the Joker blew up the hospital, all that stuff afterwards, the folk on the ferries, Batman taking down the swat with his magic goggles on, it just wasn't as engaging to me as what had already taken place, so I found time dragging a bit up until the end, it wasn't cause of the length, but because it wasn't as engaging in the last act.

I honestly don't have any concerns about this movie, apart from the usual gripe about getting decent action out of the cumbersome bat-suit.

i have to say i love that drawing of AH in the cat suit on the previous page, lol, i want that on a t-shirt, in fact , i want that on a set of pyjamas.

I believe in Chris, he hasn't let us down as of yet. Can't wait to see how he portrays Bane.

Exactly.

Nolan wants to go out on a high note along with everyone else who has been with this ongoing trilogy.

Plus I think people are just being a bit to presumptuous on how Catwoman and Bane won't work. If anything Nolan has proven time and time again that he understands how to make it work and then some.

He totally floundered among the likes of Melissa Leo, Mark Wahlberg and Amy Adams.

Bale, that potentially Oscar winning untalented one.

I agree. Pacing/content is the issue. Last 30 minutes of TDK only had around 10-15 minutes of great content (including the amazing final scene). Some of my favorite films are pretty long, but usually it's because they get better towards the end of their runtime rather than worse. Godfather and Godfather II come to mind.

The final half an hour has always been the part Nolan has, well, struggled with in all 3 of his blockbusters. Though they've always been redeemed somehwat by great final scenes, my main desire for TDKR is for it to be consistent the whole way through. Don't make things unnecessarily busy.

I do wonder if Nolans basic script had TDK pretty much end things at the hospital. But then got input from the studio to do a big digital thing with the cell phones and have all that ferry stuff! The former would've been cool!

I made a thread like this for TDK awhile back and it was useful, so thought I would create another one now that we have news on who the villains will be. With all big blockbuster movies, there will be fans with concerns on how everything will play out.

Anyone have any concerns? My concern is how catwoman and bane will be portrayed. I originally wasnt a fan of catwoman being in the nolan universe but I guess I will just have to wait and see. And bane doesnt seem like that interesting of a character to me (please, dont flame, its just my opinion). Im sure nolan wont disappoint, but im just curious as to how this will turn out. And how will Hardy bulk up so quickly?

Bane I'm fine with. The thing I like about Nolan is the realism of his films even if Bane is CGI. It won't be stupid & unrealistic. Plus this movie needs direct action. Watching Batman solve riddles vs the riddler would be a waste of time & disappointment. He pretty much did that with the the joker, with the joker's mind games. Bane is going to be great for action.

I'm a little concerned about SK being in the film. If she is just SK thats fine but I don't want to see her in a cat suit using a whip or jumping around on roof toops in leather high heel boots. I hope he just plays a love interest & quite frankly A Hathaway doesn't seem like an actresses that can pull off a physical role of catwoman & make it believable. So here's hoping to just a love interest.

This is hilarious.

The seeds of the Batsoner was planted in the first Bruce Wayne scene.

Set up. Pay off.
