Morlun got screwed heavily on location.

Everyone knows Mr. Fantastic can stretch, and is probably the smartest person in Marvel. He creates all types of machinges giving him ultimate prep time.
Reed's a scientist, he can't prepare for that which he knows nothing about. He's all about the method and without data/samples he's screwed.
Morlun has superstrength and can absorb a person's life energy through contact.
And is virtually indestructible (save for a direct radiation transfussion)
First off, Reed WILL know who Morlun is. Even though he hasn't been used much, Reed has one of the largest and best databases of information anywhere. Morlun killed Spider-man and I gaurantee you Reed knows about this and the detail. Most likely Reed and Stark went over it at an Illuminati meeting or something.
That's a HUGE leap to be taking. NO-ONE know's who morlun is, he's the keyzer soze of the marvel universe. That's the whole point of the character. Reed won't have any info and as stated he's a scientist, he's very smart but he NEVER goes on guesswork. It's just not in his nature.
Also the chances of spidey giving iron man a blow by blow account are slim to none. Let's work on actual evidence here, rather than massive ammounts of conjecture.
Morlun might know who Reed is since he is pretty famous.
Everyone in the marvel u know's who reed is. The fantastic four are like the beatles, even if you hate them, you can't escape information on them. Hell there were even packs produced (within the comic world) listing all their powers and profiles, which were made available to the general public.
The location is a HUGE advantage for Reed. The X-Mansion is probably one of the most tech heavy places on earth, and Reed will most likely know how to use ALL of the tech. If he doesn't kno whow to, it will literalyl take him 2 seconds to figure it out.
Again, where is the weapon that can directly inject radiation into morluns blood? Cause that's the ONLY way to kill a fully charged morlun. Sorry, but good as they are, those defences won't be able to stop him. In the other we saw him survive explosions, fire, getting cars dropped on his head. The mansion's defences may slow him down , but they won't kill him. And as has been explicitly stated, he has faught for a whole week at a time before. Reed just won't be able to stop him. On top of that he wouldn't even know about the radiation method.
Reed will first prepare for battle by creating or using one of his own gadgets that would eliminate Morlun's energy ability pretty much making him completely useless.
This is just laughable. without sufficient data/samples he's going to be working on pure guesswork. This is
a) not something reed would ever do
b) foolish since the chances of getting the right result are about 1 in a million
If for some reason this didn't work, the Reed would turn the entire X-Mansion against Morlun. He can absorb lfe energy but will still get stomped by lasers and rockets and such. Quite honestly, I don't picture Morlun ever gettign into the same room as Reed before he is either immobilzed or knocked out cold.
He didn't get stomped by the many explosions that he simply walked through unscathed in the other. It ain't gonna work. Without the necessary info there is NOTHING reed can do to stop him. Morlun will take this and probably have a great time doing it.
