Doesn't change the fact we already seen his ice form done a certain way in X3 and singer may wanna stick to that for continuity sake if anything

There is no proof to suggest singer may change the ice form but of course it is possible he could but at the same time what's more likely that he goes with what we already seen or goes with something new just for the sake of it

*shrug* just have to see but probably best to be open minded

If there was proof it would be 'proven' not just suggested. t: We can't really have proof till actual images of him iced up come out so there's no reason to expect proof yet even if they are planning exactly what we're describing.

We've seen something done a certain way. Does that mean they have to stick with this look for Iceman for the rest of time? Especially when it's different to the most common comic look. He's free to improve on effects, and I doubt he would hold the X3 version particularly dear given that he wasn't even involved in X3. Like you say the fact is that we've seen a certain look and the possibilities are about what will come. No reason to say one way or another that he won't (or will) have a new look. (not saying that you're saying that)

And it's not really for the sake of it if he wants to improve the look. It's only for the sake of it if he's changing it for a look that he himself believes is of roughly equal quality..change for change's sake. And it seems many fans believe a superior look is possible. I don't hate what they did in X3 at all but I believe this character can look a lot more awesome.

It would be ridiculous if his clothes suddenly come invisble or looked like transparent ice, and we saw Bobby in full ice form. This would be stupid like Emma changed her clothes in diamond and Mystique shaped her uniform in First Class movie. So all of them should do it with anything/anybody they touch. Emma shouldn't change clothes into diamond form, and Mystqiue should shape her body into clothes, not shape clothes or uniform created by Beast into anything else, that was just ridiculous.
Solution from X3, frozen clothes is best way for Iceman in my opinion. He can freeze something/someone, not make it transparenct ice.

There are a number of ways they could go with it. I care more about the power usage evolving than the visual of Iceman himself.

YES! That's how I would spend the budget if I had to choose. Colossus needs the CGI $$$. Sure I want iced up for Bobby but I have a feeling the budget is going to be pushed as it is. It may just be a numbers game on what we see.

Hmmm at this point, they should go all out. After all, this is not even the 1st time we are gonna see Bobby in ice form.

Iceman in ice form in a poster/promo material would sell more tickets/attract more people than Iceman in human form.

The effect of ice looks almost the same with Sunspot's fire. It seems that Empire used the same filter only changed color and added a little effect

chances are he will only be in ice form during combat, i don't think ice form will count strongly as Ashmores face time, esp if they replicate this look

OMG I really deleted that image from my memory... it was horrible! Such a terrible job! I don't care if it was due to deadlines or budget, I would prefer not at all rather than this....

I doubt Iceman will totally ice up. He's wearing a three-quarter length coat, that would look stupid turned to ice.

There isn't much love for that coat online anyway.

He'd have been better in a sleeveless tunic so we could see his arms, hands and face all turn to ice.

The X3 look wasn't too bad, I don't know why people are hating on it, it made sense rather than him turning into an ice-being like in the comics. What happens to his clothes in the comics? Does the ice cover them over or does he transform his clothes into ice?
