No one would care for a Two-face movie. There's some interest because of Batman.

Two-Face is a popular villain due to his backstory, but could he hold up a film by himself, a la the Joker? I'm thinking he could, but only if it were done the right way - the right way being similar to "The Long Halloween/Dark Victory" storylines.
took the words right out of my head

I think he could, both as a threat to Batman and with the complexity of the character and his relationship with Bruce
That's if they go with that angle. Bruce never really had a relationship with Harvey, in fact in TLH Harvey was downright scornful whenever Wayne was mentioned.

Yes.

I think all of Batman most famous villians, at least the big 4 (Joker, 2face, Riddler, Catwoman) could hold a movie by themselves.

The worst legacy Tim Burton gave Batman was putting 2 villians in one movie and then it bacame sort the stamp for each of the sequels.

Normally he probably could, but it wouldnt fit as a sequel to Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Sure, you could do a neat litle detective movie with Batman hunting down Two-Face, but it would seem so out of place coming right after The Dark Knight, which looks to be epic in scale.

Nolan's bat-movies seem to be really complex. Lots of characters, lots of **** going on. I highly doubt the next movie will be just Batman vs. Two-Face.

Also, I have a feeling Nolan will want to show us something new, and with reports of Eckhart wearing the make-up in the second film already, Two-Face wont be that new. I definatley think the third Batman film will be a lot more than Batman vs. Two-Face.
True, true, but I was addressing the general notion that Two-Face could not support a movie. It would require quite a change in tone (based on how complex and epic TDK seems to be), which would seem jarring after what has gone before. I would like for the focus of III to be Batman vs Two-Face, with other elements whirling around them, much as TDK seems to be Batman vs Joker with a large supporting cast.

Honestly no. He needs supporting villains. Even his best comic stories say as much.

I'd be bored to death with just Two-Face.

You could do something like the Dirty Harry movie Magnum Force.

Have Two-Face running a gang of Cops that want to wipe the streets of scum.

Dent has intimate knowledge of the mobsters, so he would be a perfect head of an organization such as that.

Then you throw in a character like The Joker and have Two-Face trying to do anything and everything to take him down while tearing the city apart.

Since when was the Riddler one of the top villains? Joker, of course. Catwoman, alright. Two-Face...perhaps. But Riddler? He's always smacked of a supporting villain to me, same as Scarecrow. Two-Face holds up a little better if he's given the past shared with Bruce Wayne and the complex relationship the two now have. Having said that, though, Frank Gorshin was amazing, and gave that villian real personality that really wasn't there before his brilliant performances, may he rest in peace.

Although there hasn't been many one-man shows for Two Face even in the comics, under the right hands of a capable writer (which both Nolan brothers most certainly are) he has almost limitless potential. I myself have more than a couple of great ideas as to how Two-Face can hold up a movie all by himself but I'm too tired to jot them all down now.

Im not a Robin fan but I still prefer Robin's own movie than Two-Face.
Two-Face would hold enough interest from the public.

I don't think you guys understand me. I meant Two Face as the only villain, not Two Face as the protagonist/antagonist.

I would believe he could, but I REALLY wanna see a darker riddler character somewhere....they can do wonders with him :)

I think the best storyline for a third film would be Joker escaping from Arkham (or escaping from his trial, if what Goyer said was true), and then Two-Face going on a rampage to find him and kill him. In other words, it would be a race between Batman and Two-Face to find the guy before Two-Face tears the city apart in a wake of bodies.

this would rock

It probably all comes down to a great screenplay involving Two-Face.

If we are talking about 3rd movie, then no, because Joker must come back as a lead villian.

Why would you have 2 films straight of the same lead villain?

I wouldn't mind the lead villain to be the Joker... always. In every movie, even the non-Batman ones.

two-face could hold up a movie, but since these movies are supposed to be more about batman i don't see any one villain taking center stage. i think nolan will have two-face in the next one and bring in all the 'freak' villains to back him up. remember that scene in long halloween with two-face behind a desk surrounded by all the villains? that's how i see the 3rd movie.
