Crank 2: High Voltage

I see this being as huge on DVD as the first one was, maybe then we can see part 3, Crank 3: High on Fire!

Looks like it'll be another week before I see this. Nearest theater isn't playing it. I'll have to settle for 17 Again (lol) until Crank 2 arrives. Bummer, because I really want to see this now.

Apparently, this movie had a ton of cameos in it, some I caught, some I did not. Like Chev's ****ty Mom was played by Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, David Carradine (can't miss him though), Maynard from Tool (as one of the Dog walkers), Troma boss Lloyd Kaufman, and a bunch of the porn actors we're actual Porn actors.

The box office totals for it this weekend were only a little over 6 million.

Kinda not surprised though. 17 made about 24 million.

Boo, people suck. Well, not anyone who seen it, just the chumps that just wrote it off.

I could have guessed it wasn't gonna do well. Since what is was going up against and the subject of the movie.

I am definitely going to see this movie on dvd

And Fast & Furious, which shows that American males still find ways to baffle those taste makers in Hollywood.

6 million isnt that bad

the thing cost 13, and I haven't seen much publicity for it so they must not be spending much

Glad to hear a lot of you liked it. I'm definitely seeing this next week.

Ugh that sucks that it only made 6 million. I swear, if R-Rated action movies keep tanking the way they have been we'll be stuck with crap like 12 Rounds.

Yeah, what the hell people! Here's hoping Ninja Assassin and Jonah Hex do well, otherwise the McG's of this world win.

Even with this weekend, I hope for as good legs as possible, good DVD sales, and then a Crank 3

I just got back from seeing this and had a fun time. I like the first one better but this was still some crazy fun.

As for the cameos, I recognized Geri Halliwell and Corey Haim. I had no idea untill now that the old asian guy was David Carradine, my gf and I were saying how that character looked so familiar but couldn't quite place it.

I didn't catch Lloyd Kaufman or Maynard. I saw Maynard's name in the credits and being a big Tool fan I was surprised I didn't recognize him. Was he one of the two guys with the dog and the dog collar?

I liked how they changed up the editing a bit from the first film and made it a bit faster and crazier. A lot of scenes, especially near the beginning felt like a video game.

One of the scenes that had me laughing due to the cheesiness of it all was when he's having sex with Amy Smart at the race track and all of a sudden catched the cowboy hat.

I wonder if there going to end it there or make a third.

congrats, guys...

you keep complaining that R rated movies don't do well at the box office, and ***** that everything is so PG-13 these days, and then you continually don't go see the R rated movies...

do you realize that if every one of us here (which isn't really that many) went to see this movie, it would have at least doubled it's box office?

I'm just as annoyed as you are, I dragged six other people with me to see Watchmen and I've got 8 people hyped up for Crank 2 (Comes out in August here, unfortunately the same day as Inglourious Basterds so it's Australian Box Office is as good as dead already). Yet these movies keep on flopping despite doing all I can.

people like you

?

If you read my previous post you should have realized I went and saw the film just like I saw Rambo 4 and a lot of R rated action/horror films.

People like me??? No, and why don't you stop pointing fingers if you can't figure out the right people to point them at.

R rated films don't do well? Tell that to 300, SAW, Friday the 13th, Halloween, Kill Bill Vol 1 and 2, Sin City, Rambo, The Matrix Trilogy, and etc. R rated films can do well if done right and if they're good films. But was anyone REALLY expecting Crank 2 to be a huge box office success though?

I work at a movie theatre and the little bit I did see of it looked really, really good. I'm hoping to catch it tomorrow or Tuesday.

The one scene that did make me uncomfortable was
the guy cutting off both of his nipples. Um, ouch?

Yeah this movie sounds crazy , I forgot it was playing this week . Ill catch it next weekend . As for cameos I know Chester Bennington from Linkin Park is in the trailer
