Kensei waited and watched and finally he saw his chance. As the beast's leg was snapped at the ankle, Kensei summoned the power of the wind through the Kusanagi and hit the creature in the back with the force of a hurricane.
The beast wobbled and spun...and then fell crashing to the earth, landing right on top of a cluster of steel beams and rebarb pieces. Two large beams blasted through the monster's eyes, a rich yellow liquid oozing from them.
The beast began to smoke as if on fire, but there were no flames. It's wooden body began to grow black and quickly rot away. Soon there was nothing left of the beast save small bits and pieces of rotten wood and two large puddles of it's yellow ichor.
Kensei sheethed his sword and breathed a deep sigh.
He and the shark person had done it. They had defeated the monster before it had a chance to harm any of the inocent.
Kensei placed the palm of his hand under his chin and cracked his neck. Other than the usual soreness, he was none the worse for wear. The same could not be said for the shark man.
Kensei ran over to the man - Kensei now saw that it was indeed a man in a costume - and winced as he looked upon the wounded still form of the hero.
Kneeling down to the bloody mess, Kensei placed his hand on the man's neck.
<Still alive>, Kensei thought with nod.
"Joufu", spoke Kensei as he looked down onto the man, "we need to leave. Now."
"Can you move", he asked in English with just a hint of a Japanese accent.
