Screen Name: BlackAngel

Character you have created: Anna-Maria Oblio
Alias: Mistress Pink

Speech Color (actually say what you're using, don't go "Like this", or what not):

Verdana, Default, Fushia

Character Alignment: Villain

Identity: Secret

Character Personality (Give information on how your character acts, what he/she believes in, how they handle situations):

Anna-Maria is cold and a bit ruthless at times, but deep down has someone she deeply cares for. She tends keep her distance from others. When someone wants to mess with her or get in her way, she tries to go for the kill, without hesitating.

Origin Info/Details:

Anna-Maria is a natural born fire demon. Born in the Forbidden City in the Spirit World. Anna-Maria's mother, Anna, died after giving birth to her ( Which leaves her father, Aiden to care for her). Anna-Maria was in critical condition when she was born, so Hana, who was close friends with Aiden and fought alongside him in the Great War, helped Anna-Maria stay alive.

As life went on, Aiden did abuse his daughter here and there, and she received a few scars on her back. Later on, Anna-Maria, was a proud older sister of her younger brother, Vale, she was really close with her younger brother, always making him smile, until she found him dead after two months. A year later after her brother's death, her family was murdered by the Great Demon of the Spirit World.

As years went by, Anna-Maria was training her self how to weild Katanas, and control her fire. Until one day, the past drove her angry. She started traveling from place to place, causing some destruction, and killing innocent people. She wanted to kill to avenge her brother's death. ( due to the fact she was very close with him)

Power Level (Select one below):

4: Cosmic Level

Powers (Be Specific): She uses normal attacks pretty decent, but she has a mind power called "Pyrokinesis" where she can set things on fire. Most of her attacks are fire related, because the fact she is a fire demon.

List of her attacks:

Fireblow: ( A fire attack where she blows fire from her mouth)
Fire Dance: ( Pillars of Molten Lava where they come up from the ground and circle around the opponent, getting closer until they hit)
Pyrokinesis: ( A power where it sets things on fire with mind)

Attributes (Select one at each category:

Strength Level: Anna-maria doesn't have that much physical strength, but she is a bit flexible. I would go around 30.

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 30

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 3

Agility: 3X

Intelligence: Average

Fighting Skill: Trained

Resources: Below Average

Weaknesses:

Due to the fact she's a fire demon, Elemental wise, her weakness would be water, and maybe ice, depending on how strong it is. Water and ice combined, there's an advantage right there. Also She isn't as fast, So her speed is a weakness also.

Supporting Characters(Does your character have a significant other? A mother? Friend? Who are they, what do they have to do with your character?):

Well Anna-Maria is a loner, and doesn't want to deal with anyone. Eversince she lost her younger brother and her family was murdered, she's been on her own. She didn't want to bother making any new friends.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

Well first off, parts of Anna-Maria are based off myself back in the past, her girlish look, and how she acted. Second, She was one of my very first OCs I ever had, that I'm spicing up a bit, and still editing. Third, I'm still a bit rookie when it comes to OCs and writing, so I do want to practice with one of them, hopefully stay well-balanced.

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you think you can bring to the RPG:
I think I can bring in a bit of fun, because this would be my first time roleplaying with other people. I may be a rookie at writing, but I just do it for the fun of it.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: I'll try and get on as much as possible, the fact my schedule is very hectic on weekdays.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards:

Yep Yep Yep ^^ It's Anna-Maria, but she's not a villain in this picture, I just recently drew this

Sample Origin Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue):

Watching the small town in flames, ashes blowing through her, her long black hair blowing in the wind as the fire continues to spread. Smirking at the dead bodies on the ground, as the blood oozes from her katanas.

" Worthless beings..."

Mistress Pink walked off without care. Feeling more pain than ever deep inside about her younger brother, Vale, she killed more innocent people than last time. Her emerald green eyes stared up at the moon, where she saw an image of herself as a little girl with Vale, who was only a baby. She continued to get away from everyone. Not a moment too soon, She encountered a traveler, who seemed a bit tired. He looked like he was in his thirties, and his clothes were torn up a bit.

" Miss, can you help me..??"

The Pink Mistress stopped, not even looking at the travelor. She just smirked, as if she had found her prey. It was like the game of cat and mouse, but more extreme.

" Hmph...useless...."

She starts to fiddle around with her Twin Katanas of Black Fire for a taunting joke.

" Such a shame that you're going to be wasted in a matter of seconds..."

"W-What!!??"

The traveler, starts to get a bit paranoid as he starts to back away from Anna-Maria. The Pink Mistress blocks his path with one of her twin katanas. He ran the other way but she blocked his way again. There was no escape from her.

" Are you screwing with me!!?? And answer quickly, before I get really pissed..Are you screwing with me!!??"

"N-No"

He tried to get away, but before he knew it, Anna-Maria had stabbed him through the heart. Blood squirting out everywhere.

" That's what I thought..."

Hi guys! I'm Piles, Keyser Soze told me about this place, so I figured I'd try my hand here. Here's my profile, I look forward to (hopefully) working with some of you guys in the future....

Create a Hero/Villain RPG SEASON I

Screen Name: Piles

Character you have created: Luke Joseph
Alias: Chalybs

Speech Color: Dark Green

Character Alignment: Hero

Identity: Secret

Character Personality:

Often hot-headed and always stubborn, Luke is a kid with a good heart who doesn’t always know how to use it. Throughout his short time at school, he was bullied profusely and unrelentingly, and when his mother – the last remaining member of his family – dies, he exiles to the streets. Feeding off scraps and with nowhere else to go, Luke falls into a life of violence with he himself acting as the victim. However, following an incident involving a dumpster filled with metallic artefacts, he begins to believe that he has special powers.

Undeveloped and in his rookie year as a superhero, Luke Joseph, or as he’s known on the street, ‘Chalybs’, is a seventeen year old former vagabond who believes that he’s been given these powers in order to help those directly around him. However, after a few short months of possessing his powers and an unfortunate meeting with a figure from his past, he begins to wonder whether his powers should be restricted to those he knows, those he deserve it or not restricted at all. This dilemma is at the core of his year one development, where he begins to ask himself if being a superhero at all is a blessing or a curse.

On hearing strange news elsewhere in the world, mostly through whispers and rumours, he begins to realise that he must leave Australia sooner rather than later, in order to join the melee. But how do you make cross-world trips with no money, and no access to any?

He approaches most situations with an action-orientated method, doing before asking questions. However, he is aware of every consequence, and often acts more out of petulance rather than stupidity. He believes in nothing but himself, and the law of the street. He keeps himself to himself, keeping a close group of acquaintances close to him and only committing to friendships with people for strategic reasons.

Origin Info/Details: Living on the street without two dollars to rub together, Luke Joseph often falls prey to the local yobs and youths who’re out for nothing more than a drink and a fight. Scrawny in weight, not particularly wily and hardly brave enough to fight back, he succumbs to regular beatings. One night, in the lashing rain amongst a thunderstorm, a team of yobs beat and batter Luke in a back-street alley in Canberra. He’s dumped in a dumpster filled with metallic waste, unconscious and battered.

He passes out when a lightning bolt collides with the dumpster. In an incident that should have fried and killed him, Luke awakens an unidentified time later, naked and confused. However, after spotting specks of a foreign substance in his body, he soon comes to realise that what seemed like a miracle could have happened for a reason. Not only is he alive, he’s improved, upgraded if you will. In an impressive test of strength, he manages to push and lift the dumpster that he’d been dumped in, giving him reason to believe that more was to work than just coincidence. He was meant to have these powers.

Hero Type: Muscle.

Power Level (Select one below):

1. Street Level (Ex. Punisher, Daredevil)

Powers (Be Specific): Well, he currently only believes that he has super-strength, and his body is turning into metal at random intervals. He has to train to control it and thus become more resilient. Eventually the metallic antibodies will affect his mind and reflexes, too, causing him to become wiser and wiser as my story arc continues.

Attributes:

Strength Level: 30. Reaches 60 at peak.

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Normal Human at origins. Reaches 40 at peak.

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 3 hours.

Agility: Again, normal human after origins. Peaks at X5.

Intelligence: Average at beginnings. Peaks at Genius.

Fighting Skill: Untrained

Resources: Minimal

Weaknesses: Exposure to water causes the antibodies to internally rust, causing significant and immense pain.

Supporting Characters:

The Doctor: Extremely intelligent ally whom Luke confides in. He studies Luke, bemused and curious about the antibodies that have infested him. He constructs medication and shots in order to control the disorder. Eventually helps Luke create or construct tools and suits in order to help him fight crime.

Rod: Bully who caused Luke’s origin story. Meets up with Luke again months after the incident, being mugged by an un-named street-level criminal. Luke chooses not to help, thus beginning a cycle of confusing and philosophy about powers and those he should save. Rod is also the first to discover Luke’s identity, causing him to blackmail and initially control his heroic doings for personal gains. Not so much his super villain as a petty opening act.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. The quality of the every-man. He’s just a normal boy, thrust into the superhero-world by circumstance rather than choice. He feels he has a duty, now that his life has been spared after the electrocution, to protect the people around him and those not so close to him.

2. Although he feels he has a duty, he believe his help is a privilege and not a right. A meeting with a former bully in the future will lead him to a dilemma about his powers; are they for a selected few or a communal resource? He’s contorted, leading him to make rash decisions. He’s not your ever-rosy, picture perfect superhero.

3. Humble Beginnings. I like the idea of beginning small-time to begin with and gradually building power and stature.

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you think you can bring to the RPG:

I believe I have enough ability and enthusiasm to make a mark on this game and become a stable, dependable part of the universe. I have a lot of role-playing experience, stretching from offline games to efedding, thus leading me to believe I can adapt and slot nicely into a superhero RP game.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As many as required. I don’t have much of a life ;).

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards: I believe so.

Sample Origin Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue):

episode one l origins
Canberra. Australia.

It was cold. Dark. Wet. Not a very nice setting. The act being committed was hardly a glamorous one. It was despicable. But in rich sunlight even a fight can look elegant or regal. Here? The desperate struggle was nothing to behold, but still they gathered round to watch. The kid was scrawny… hair messed up in a fashion that, in the present time, would be considered an acceptable style. His clothes hung off him, clearly hand-me-downs from his equally poor brother. The boys around him were much larger, and if I were to tell you that they were the same age you wouldn’t believe me.

“Hit him, Rod!” one of the boys said. They were baying for blood in a way that went past your usual childhood infatuations with fights or violence. They circled the smaller boy, who was down on all fours like a dog, blood being spewed up from his mouth and his nose. The largest boy, Rod, took a running start before driving a foot into the little boy’s face. He felt something break, and wanted to let out a yelp, but screaming would only make them hit harder. He simply rolled over onto his back, staring up at the dark sky as the thunder begun to roar. Phlegm and blood escaped his mouth one last time.

“Get up! You little punk!” Rod shouted as the rest of the little boys laughed at their smaller counterparts groans. The boy placed his palms against the concrete to the side of him, forcing himself back onto his knees. He tilted his head to face his pursuer, who looked visually angry that the boy had had the gall to follow his commands. With one last exertion of effort and energy, he forced his way back to a vertical base, and immediately wished he hadn’t.

The largest kid charged at him, taking him up in a rugby tackle that lifted the scrawny boy up off his feet completely. He drove him back into the back door of some bar or café-restaurant that sat on the high street. Canberra was hardly known for its exuberant nightlife, and in the dark back-alley that they were in, the boys stood next to no chance of being found. The smallest boy’s head smashed off the door and he hit the ground, hard, rolling over and knocking a few steel bars onto the ground, too. The circular girder begun to roll away from the boy, and – as he closed his eyes to block out the image of the forbidding sky – he heard it fall of the curb and onto the road.

But, without any respite, he felt himself being hoisted up again. He was being taken away from the wall and up the alley. He let go. They could do what they wish, god knows that they would. He’d given up thinking ‘why’ years ago, some people are just meant to be bullied.

“In the dumpster!” one of the boys laughed, in his high-pitched hyena-like cackle. The scrawny kid opened his eyes, he was being carried towards a yellow dumpster, filled to the brim with metallic artefacts. He began to struggle. Another bout of thunder. The boys just digged him in the ribs and pressed on, forcing him towards the rubbish container. Towards his destiny.

They thrust him over the lip and into the dumpster, and he felt his body clatter against the steel with a sickening thud. Various pointed corners of the steel and the iron dug into his skin, causing him to struggle around looking for an easier resting place. There was none.

Thunder. Lightning. Shock. Darkness.

*****

Some time later

His eyes opened. He didn’t know how long he’d been out for. It could have been hour, days, weeks… he wouldn’t have known. He lived on the streets, and the concept of time was lost on him. There was no school, no work, no early start or late finishes, life was just life… and he hated it all the more for it.

The metal was still all about him, jagged edges poking into his skin and flesh and every given opportunity. With a hasty intake of breath, he managed to lift himself up once more and stepped down onto the pavement. He almost fell down to the ground on wobbly legs, but managed – somehow – to keep his stability. The shock had taken a lot out of him, and it was a wonder how he’d survived it at all. He looked down at his body; he was completely naked. He turned around and looked back into the dumpster for any sign of his clothes, but all that was left was ripped fragments of fabric.

He took a step forwards out of the shadows, but at the site of the many people passing by the open mouth of the alleyway, he quickly jumped back in, hiding himself from the view. All he needed was an indecent exposure charge and some kind of fine. God knows he barely had enough money to feed himself. He looked down at his body one more time, somehow expecting to come up with an idea, but just as quickly looked away again…

…and then back…

He saw something zoom up his arm. A speck of silver. His eyes chased it, but soon he lost it amongst a pool of similar specks, each one of them building a seemingly random path around his modest bicep. He stared harder… straight lines with rough, sharp turns, disappearing again as soon as they were made. He looked down at his body… each and every inch below his neck was covered in similar oddities. He held up his hands. The specks stopped at his wrists and turned back to forge new paths, as if they knew that that was where normal clothing would stop.

He felt… strange. Each movement of the pixels caused a strange sensation to echo around his body, and he felt… different. Almost external. Something came over him. He had full control of his body, but he didn’t know why the sudden urge came over him. He turned back to the dumpster, beholding it for a few seconds before stepping back towards it. He placed his hands against it, and as he caressed the metal he heard a slight clink of metal on metal. Without a second thought, he pushed forwards.

The dumpster yielded, moving forwards at the slightest pressure.

With an exertion of energy, he moved his fingertips down to the bottom of the dumpster, placing them under the lip. His digits grazed against the tarmac underneath the dumpster, and with a grimace and a strain of the eyes, he lifted the dumpster upwards. It was almost light to him. Soon he realised he didn’t need to grimace or strain, and instead he concentrated on balancing rather than lifting. It was above his head… the whole dumpster and its contents… double-digit tons of pure metallic matter.

He stared out over at the opening in front of him. Across the road lay a park, riddled with tall oak trees, and behind them the sun was just beginning to extend its reach into the skies.

Yet another Soze recruit. Approved.

Damn, Soze is a beast! He's bringing em in by the mutitudes! :wow:

Welcome to the Hype. :woot:

Create a Hero/Villain RPG SEASON I

Screen Name:

Keyser Soze

Character you have created:
Walter Worthington Wagstaff

Alias:
The Skunk

Speech Color (actually say what you're using, don't go "Like this", or what not):
Olive

Character Alignment: Villain

Identity: Secret

Character Personality(Give information on how your character acts, what he/she believes in, how they handle situations):
A born loser, Walter is cripplingly anti-social. Being in the presence of a woman gives him the sweats, and having to actually talk to them makes him want to throw up. Confrontation in general makes him queasy – he’s terrified of being punched in the face, or breaking any bones. Being able to hide behind a mask, and act as his alter ego, The Skunk, Walter finds some confidence and bravado that he lacks in his everyday life. But when faced with strong opposition, he is prone to cowardice.

Origin Info/Details:
Walter Worthington Wagstaff has lived a sad, lonely, miserable life. Gifted in the field of chemistry, Wagstaff’s social ineptitude and lack of self-confidence quashed his dreams of becoming a scientist. Instead, he fell into a dead-end job in the administrative sector of a paper-clip company. Throughout his life, his one respite has been his love of comic books. The larger-than-life exploits of superheroes like Spider-Man, Superman and Batman gave Walter a glimpse at the kind of exciting life he always wanted, but could never have.

One day, Walter decided to end it all. Sick of the meaningless waste his life had become, he decided to throw himself off a bridge. But his suicide attempt was thwarted when he was rescued by the Twilight Goddess. And there, came a moment of clarity. Superheroes weren’t just fantasy beings in comic books. They were real, they were out there. These people put on masks, and become more than just human. They are respected, loved, feared. And then Walter thought, “What if I could become somebody else?” That was it! At last, he had found meaning in his life. He considered becoming a superhero, but he had no powers, no real resources to make a difference in the world. And besides, where was the money in that?

No, he returned to his comic books, and looked not at the superheroes, but at The Riddler, at Captain Cold, at Paste Pot Pete. Average Joes, not too different from him. They weren’t mutants, they weren’t given superpowers by a freak accident. All they had was the imagination to find the right gimmick and used it as a ticket to easy money. He wouldn’t get caught, like those chumps, because he wouldn’t be too ambitious. He didn’t want to kill any superheroes. He didn’t want to kill anyone. He didn’t want to rule the world, he just wanted to get rich. And get a little notoriety too: people love a glamorous criminal, being a supervillain would make him a celebrity.

So Walter Wagstaff thought long and hard. He experimented with chemicals, aiming to design the perfect non-lethal weapon. But one day, when experimenting with chemical compounds including methyl and butyl thiols, the resulting fluid produced a stench so potent it made him pass out. When he finally woke up, inspiration hit him. He knew what his alter ego would be. He designed his costume, crafted his new identity. From this day on, the world would cower before…

The Skunk!

Hero Type:
Gray Matter

Power Level:
1. Street Level (Ex. Punisher, Daredevil)

Powers (Be Specific):
The Skunk has no superpowers. His key weapon is his patented “Stink-Juice”, a fluid of his own creation that has such a potent stink, that it is powerful enough to induce extreme nausea in anyone who inhales its fumes, and render anyone unfortunate enough to be sprayed with it unconscious. If sprayed in someone’s eyes, it can also result in temporary blindness. He keeps his Stink-Juice contained in a canister on his back, and sprays it through a pair of “Stink-Guns” attached to it. He wears a gasmask to protect himself from the fumes of his Stink-Juice.

In addition to his backpack, The Skunk’s costume also includes a pair of clawed steel gauntlets, also of his own design, that he wears as gloves. He can use these to help him climb walls, or in battle if necessary. His boots are also steel-capped with claws to aid in his climbing.

Attributes (Select one at each category:
Strength Level: Normal Human

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Normal Human

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: Normal Human

Agility: Normal Human

Intelligence: Genius

Fighting Skill: Untrained

Resources: Average

Weaknesses (If your stats chosen are deemed powerful enough by a Game Master with no weakness, the character will fall under rules of Level 3 and 4 characters. Even with a weakness, a Game Master may rule it as a Level 3 or 4 character):
He’s a weak, powerless coward in a silly costume. Need I say more?

Supporting Characters(Does your character have a significant other? A mother? Friend? Who are they, what do they have to do with your character?):
GLORIA WAGSTAFF
Walter’s mother. Walter still lives with his mother, and his makeshift factory where he creates his Stink-Juice is in his mother’s basement

HARVEY WINTERSCHMIDT
The regional director of Jones & Jones Paper-Clips. Walter’s bullying boss.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. The game doesn’t have enough villains.

2. I have a soft-spot for the C-list loser villains of comic books. I thought it would be fun to play one, rather than an all-powerful menace or a bad-ass killer.

3. Walter Worthington Wagstaff is a character I enjoyed playing as in another game, non-superhero. I thought it would be fun to translate him into the superhero world.

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you think you can bring to the RPG:
I can bring a wealth of RPing experience to the game. I’ve also brought new recruits already, so NYAH!

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG:
When RPing with someone else, I’ll post whenever they do.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards:

Apologies for the blurriness, its a photo of a picture, rather than a scan

Sample Origin Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue):

“You’re a nobody.”

Walter Worthington Wagstaff muttered the words to himself as he stood on the edge of the bridge, trying to summon the courage to throw himself into the river below. What had he done with his life? He was in his 30s, and still lived with his mother. He worked for a paper-clip company. He had no friends, no love life. He was a nobody.

The notion of killing himself had come to him quite out of the blue. He’d been driving along this empty bridge, looking out the window. Then, he’s just stopped his car, got out, and worked his way out here. It felt so natural, so right at the time. But now, now he was terrified. He clung tightly onto the scaffolding unwilling to take that leap into oblivion. God, he was such a coward. He couldn’t even succeed at suicide!

No, he couldn’t do it. He didn’t have the guts. Propping his glasses up on his nose, Walter turned around, and started to climb up off the side of the bridge and back onto the road. But then his foot slipped. For one frenzied moment, he grasped wildly, searching for something to hold onto. But he only grabbed air. And before he knew it, he was falling backwards, falling to his death.

This is it. Death. And the funny thing is, nobody would even notice…

*Backs away slowly, realizing any given moment Soze will snap and kill me, Joker style.* :csad:

I am working on a post, I should have it in tonight, tomorrow at the latest

Sorry for my lack of activity in the IC thread as well as the OOC thread. Today hopefully I can work on some MicroHeroes and get my reply in the IC thread from byrd's Blurry post.

In that picture Keyser is the white part on the upper right of the picture supposed to be a tail or just part of the equipment? BTW great drawing did you draw it or did you take it from a 2nd grader? ;)
