The criteria should be

A. It must be directly viral related. ( ie. Not the hippo thing)
B. It should be something that people who participated in virals will understand ( normal people will get the Vietnam Vet response " You don't know man ! You wern't there ! "
C. It should have a certain uniqueness to it. Lets be honest the virals were anything but standard. That why I'd throw design open to anyone not just those with artistic skills


I think personally, it should have the SHH logo in there somewhere. This place was here before the virals, it was the war room during them and it'll be here when the next wave of virals begin for the 3rd film. It deserves at least a nod.

This thread needs organisation. We should have a locked , no discussion thread for visual submissions (ie. designs on a shirt)

I agree with this...we could have a vote on the best submissions and go from there...good idea.

I agree with the concept of the vote. I do not however agree with a no-discussion thread for submissions... I say that because discussion breeds better Ideas, if we have a concept that is cool but could be tweaked those Ideas need to be shared. A separate thread is needed for submissions though.. this one could stay around to post ideas and stuff.

It will be difficult for us to agree on one design. The virals affected us all differently, we all did different things, we all came in at different points. I'm not sure how we could all agree on a design...

That being said, I'd like to have a shirt that looks like Gotham City tourism promotional shirt that has been Jokerized. Really anything that's made to look like a standard Gotham-esque shirt that has been Jokerized.

My art skills suck so you guys can use your imaginations.

I think a shirt covered from top to bottom front and back and on the sleeves with red joker-type "HA HA"s would look genius

could be black with red "HAHA"s or maybe purpl with green "HAHA"s or vice versa.

I don't think it has been proven infringement, only that it is owned by WB. I say you can make your own shirts, what are they goign to do. Make you take it off?

I was under the impression that we were going to all make the same shirt. I am but a humble man, I would assume it's infringement in the grand scheme... But I see your point, they can't sue me me for wearing a shirt and no one has to know where I got it from.

The point of this thread was to generate new Ideas for swag with original art work some of these things we are seeing is pretty close to the line. We are supposed to be creating something apart from what the fine people at WB and 42e have done/are doing.

I was a part of TDK ARG, and all i got was this lousy shirt that I MADE MYSELF!

alright, now an actually serious one:

Front - image of all the catchphrases (why so serious, part of the plan, etc.) from the ARG in different fonts/sizes
Back - I survived the TDK ARG with a smile.

EDIT: anyone with better PS skills can work on the image on that last one.

If it's original artwork they can't really come after you unless it's a direct rip off of something preexisting...even then, I doubt WB cares too much about a handful of fanmade t-shirts using artwork/images that were user created...

Viral t-shirt = amazing idea!

I think it should be fairly simple, nothing too directly linked to a specific site.. I really like the idea of something as simple as "I spend a year of my life on the Dark Knight virals and all I got was this lousy t-shirt". Not that specifically (too obvious) but you get the idea.

Why not open it up for the Hype artist competition next month? Something like that?

so it sould be like one of touse band tour ts with all the dates and locations of the tour on them but with all the viral locations

I think there should be a reference to the Wiki somewhere on the shirt... maybe on the sleeve. I think we all agree that it has played a vital role in all of this.
