Whoa, getting a little passionate there... it was just an idea. I agree with you and those core characters are my favorites anyway. I was just thinking of a way to continue the franchise if they can't get the whole cast back. And with all the deaths and cured characters...

But to be honest I don't think we'll see another team movie... Fox foolishly ended what could have been a very long lasting movie franchise... Regardless of the spinoffs, they do not continue in the same style or storyline of this series....

He was terrific in Hairspray. I'd definitely recommend seeing it! :woot:

yes, are a really great movie couple. would be nice to see them on screen. And I'm glad he seems to have a main role in that new film.
 
I agree, they both look like a great on-screen couple. But I still don't want her as Emma Frost.
 
before, I was thinking about James career, and he seems to be in a good moment, with various comercial films, since the big movies like X-men and Superman, to the actual movies like Hairspray, Enchanted and his next proyect, a comedy with a main role.

Do you think he could become in a bigger star in the next years? I mean, I know he has a large filmography, and one of his latest films was 10th and the wolf, with the main role; I still hasn't seen it, but I'd like to see him in a more "serious" movie, like a drama or something, in a main role, I think he deserves a oportunity, to see what can happens then with him, he should be in the line of Halle and Hugh, but as we all know, he, by now, is a secondary actor, at least in the xsaga. But was wonder if he had better movies in the next two/three years, he could have the role he deserves in the xfranchise.

I rented 10th & Wolf and strongly recommend it. I really liked it. He was great in it. I also recommend the 24th Day. Both are available on DVD.

It's funny, I think he's very talented but he's actually really funny in real life. If you've seen him on talk shows, he's kind of goofy and seems a little uncomfortable in the spotlight. He kinda reminds me of myself that way.

I think he's where any actor wants to be, making a good living doing what he loves, but not being so famous that he's harassed by paparazzi, etc...
 
Man, they NEED to bring back Marsden as Cyclops! He's the LEADER of the TEAM! He needs to come back and kick ass even if Hugh is in the movie (which hopefully he won't be - let him stay solo)! I'd like to see the Cyclops, Storm, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Angel, Iceman, and Kitty. That'd be a good team. Maybe bring in Gambit but that would be the limit. And let Scott take front stage!

I think he'll become more respected as time goes along. I don't think he's looking to be this big time superstar or a big name. He just seems to enjoy acting and singing.

My opinion? All he needs is a big time movie where he's the lead character and can show off his acting chops. I remember he was originally attached to The Preacher(based off of a graphic novel) when it was going to be made into a movie. It would've been a different role for him as it's darker compared to X-Men, Superman, Hairspray, or Enchanted.

I can almost guarantee that if Preacher were made into a faithful film and he portrayed Jesse Custer brilliantly it probably would've been an Academy Award nominated performance.
 
I hope he accepts a serious role in the next years, a big drama, or an important movie with an important director. I think the issue isn't exactly making a drama, or a thriller, because he've already done it, but yes working with an A list director, and in a main role, of course. Is what is happening with Hugh, who has worked with important directors, not many, but a few ones.
 
I think James could very well win awards for his acting. I think he just needs to find a good role that will get people's attention. He has the talent, now he just needs the material. He needs to be the lead and it has to be a picture that is an oscar contender like A BEAUTIFUL MIND, etc... It's not so much the director as it is the material...

But I do imagine, that he'll be more recognized because he's doing more high profile movies and turning in one great performance after another.
 
Jimmy has made it clear that he's not courting that kind of fame. He's happy working in the biz, but he's also grateful he's not a target of the tabloids. I believe he's sincere and not simply spouting excuses.
 
Jimmy's awesome. He's the kind of actor I would love to play one of my characters.

I agree, how many are those so-called hotshot out there who really can act and sing well enough to overshadow their scandals?
 
And he seems like a great family guy. I like that he's a talented hard working actor but he doesn't take himself too seriously. And the fact that he is a family guy means no wild nights in clubs and crap like that. He's reliable and I've never seen a bad performance from him.

In any event, I really hope they bring back Cyclops in an X-Men movie. How awesome would it be if he got his own spinoff?
