AoS is actually quite good, if you get past the first 15 episodes. It came together very well, and has some great performances.
I think shorter seasons are always better. There's always so much filler on AOS, and the stories tend to drag as a result.
the reason the netflix stuff is better than AoS isn't b/c of the entire season dump at once (although that helps), it's quite frankly network tv is trash
it's too "safe" and plays to the lowest common denominator
also the netflix stuff is strong b/c they're pulling from quality story arcs from the source material
man without fear, alias, ennis punisher vs daredevil, etc
AoS was just "ok here's coulson and a bunch of made up whedon-esque templates for tv"
it's gotten better but still suffers heavily

Damn that would've been great.THE PUNISHER WAS ORIGINALLY SET FOR THE END OF DAREDEVIL SEASON ONE

I believe it wasn't until season one was released and with the reception it got that Netflix gave the go ahead to go right into a second season.
The original plan was just one season like the other Defenders. It would have kinda sucked to tease that without certainty a follow up season would even be out in a year?
So Punisher has enough enthusiasm for a Netflix series but Elektra doesn't?
Here's hoping that Luke Cage and Iron Fist both do well enough for second seasons as well. I feel like there are Luke Cage villains who I really want to see on screen (Atlas, Chemistro and Nightshade) and some Iron Fist baddies I want to see as well (Chaka, Steel Serpent, Xao, Master Khan).

I really hope that they leave out stuff like resurrections. The show doesn't need things like that. If a character dies, then the character should stay dead.
i'm 99% expecting a kingpin teaser in the endSo, at this point is it safe to say that Castle is the THE antagonist of this season? Unless Marvel's keeping it secret, we haven't had any other casting for any other DD characters or villains. I had originally assumed that Punisher would be a mini arc this season but sounds like the entire season is about Daredevil vs The Punisher.
I'm cool with that.
“[She and the producers] think Elektra is kind of a sociopath. This world is a game for her, like a chess game. What motivates her is what she wants, she’ll use anything she needs to use to get to her goal, and if she needs to kill people she would. On the other hand, we wanted to create a character with different layers… I think Elektra isn’t a bad person, she’s not a good person, she’s a person with different traits.”
