Daredevil Daredevil General Discussion Thread - Part 8

How about now?

Yup. That's what I was referring to. I would love that to happen in season five or six.

I'm getting through season 2. This show is great. Love all the main characters. Some of the season 1 deaths are a loss going forward but they've really made a great job of putting this character to TV.

Yes Netflix is the best place for Daredevil and the rest of The Defenders. Glad your enjoying season 2 it is better than season 1 imo.

Oh great. I thought it would be hard to live up that first season. Can't wait to see the rest of the Defenders (started Jessica Jones too). Marvel really sorted out their TV shows after the terrible start to AoS.

I remember thinking along with many others that jon bernthal should be up for an Emmy nomination (if not win it) for the graveyard scene.

Guess that didn't happen😞

So the DA was a huge part of DD season 2, but after watching Jessica Jones, I caught that Kilgrave actually went to the DA to "convince" them that Hope Schlottman was innocent. Would've appreciated some sort of reference to that I'm DD S2.

Okay guys this was hilarious :woot: Look at roughly 3:08;

I find withquitea lot of the MCU movies that I like them less on re-watch, this certainly isn't the case with DD season 1. It's still brilliant on a re-watch on BD.

Binge watched season one & two in the span of four days & am now revisiting the first season. This show is literally everything Daredevil needs to be in live action & I absolutely have to praise all parties involved for presenting such a stellar show.

Kudos, Marvel.

For season 3, do you think they should introduce Typhoid Mary or just stick to Bullseye and Kingpin?

I think it'd be a shame to not introduce/use her on the show. Especially the more grounded take from the Bendis run. Her whole reintroduction in that arc with the singing of The Mama's and The Papas' "Monday Monday" while taking out a whole gang was great.

I would likely hold off next season if they feel Bullseye can carry it. I feel both together is a bit weird.

Honestly, Typhoid Mary is an extremely difficult character to write well. She doesn't really work if she's not being used thematically.

I think the character who would be best to introduce is Mr. Fear (Larry Cranston). He's at least extremely underrated and the comics have shown he can be compelling. Plus, it would be nice to have a rival lawyer involved. I'd go Bullseye Season Three, Cranston Season Four.

I think Mary can be used well without being overly thematic I think the character has pathos and is tragic, because she is one of the few Marvel villains who is legitimately insane, unlike guys like Bullseye, Mr Fear and Purple Man who are just psychopaths. No one takes the time to really delve into this pathos nowadays.

I think Mr. Fear has a couple of problems, people think he is too similar to Scarecrow and his costume might be tricky to do an TV budget. But I do like him and I would want to see him eventually, I like his stories and a corrupt lawyer is a great villain for Matt.

What about some of the B-list villains? Should guys like Jester, Bushwacker, Bullet, the Wildboys appear or would they just make things too crowded or not fit with this series?

Maybe Stilt-Man should be the Big Bad of a season? :cwink::yay:

Is there any reason for Turk Barrett's very odd looking rings?

How dare you question anything relating to Turk Barrett! :cmad:

No, but seriously, I never noticed them before this comment. Makes me wonder the same thing.

It reminds me of the Centipede devices from Agents of SHIELD. That's probably not it, but those rings are so stylized that it makes me think there's some kind of significance there.

Still say this is the best thing Marvel has going for it by far.
