fox needs to drop the rights so marvel films can take the reins..

I just saw the Director's Cut, and I'd be perfectly happy with a sequel to THAT movie. The one that came out apparently was pretty much trash, but from the commentary I can see that it's not at all the movie the director wanted out there. And the cut I saw was really good.

Not everything needs a reboot, especially a somewhat marginal character like Daredevil. If there's no sequel, we don't need fresh take on the character right now, when there's other movies to be made.

The Reboot I prefer has Fox giving the property back to Marvel and letting them handle it.:o

Also, get rid of the poorly miscast Affleck and choose another actor to play Daredevil.

Watch the director's cut. If you have, fine. But if not, you haven't seen Affleck playing Daredevil, and more importantly, Matt Murdock. In the DCut, he does a spot-on job on Murdock's character that you have to see.

I don't think Fox would simply give back Daredevil. What's in it for them? If there's money to be made off of the character, then Fox'll want to be the one making it.

You guys suggesting or wishing FOX give Daredevil's rights back to Marvel are living in dream land. Never gonna happen so we have to live with the reality that, for better or for worse, they'll probably give it a nother try. When they do, since it's probably inevitable, they need to do a sequel not a reboot. They covered the origin the first time and shouldn't waste time covering it again. If the first movie did anything right it was the actual origin portion of the movie. They should just recap during opening credits and continue from there, jumping right into the action. The other thing they should do is get a quality director and recast everyone and introduce new villains, making it fresh. Enough talk about retreading the same things. Let's move forward.

I know.

True.

Agreed.

I wonder who they can get. They're alienated many good directors in the past, many good directors probably would avoid DD since it would involve them working with Fox directly and the previous movie has made DD's reputation into a joke limiting what Hollywood could see in the franchise's untapped potential.

and recast everyone

True.

and introduce new villains,

New villains Fox will destroy.

making it fresh.

Which means nothing unless they do it well.

Enough talk about retreading the same things.

This will only happen once Fox starts doing good adaptions.

Let's move forward.

DD's going to move forward alright. Right back into obscurity when Fox damages him some more in their next try.

The Incredible Hulk treatment.

No need to retread the origin story because it will waste 1/2 hour of film time, but it's not going to be a continuation of the 1st one.
What chief said.

Do you really think that you're saying anything that anybody doesn't know? "It will only be good if they do it well!" Really? You think so?

If they do a DD movie at the level of awesomeness seen in Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk, we have nothing to worry about. It will be awesome.

There was a major winter storm on the entire East Coast the day Daredevil came to theaters that possibly took a huge chunk out of the box office. So I think a sequel, with someone else in the DD role should be done. And bring back the Kingpin for another round.

Yes.

They used to be able to this very well in the past but those days are long gone.

That's a big if. Until things seriously change at Fox the chances of this occurring are slim to none.

Iron Man and Incredible Hulk were good movies Fox had nothing to do with. That's a huge factor in why they were able to be good movies.

They own the film rights.

The main reason they're even doing a sequel is to extend them to keep them from reverting back to Marvel.

So they're definitely doing a sequel? That is news to me.

Well, damn. That blows.

There was something on this just last week. Unfortunately Fox stated something along the lines of reevaluating their comic book properties. That's no surprise with all the comic book movie hoopla going on right now.

I would think they would do a reboot because the first movie left such a sour taste like the Hulk did.

I say neither. Wait until Fox loses the rights, then let Marvel do the reboot.

i say do a sequel/reboot similar to incredible hulk can show Murdock's accident in the opening credits sequence like in incredible hulk maybe get Doug Liman to Direct he would be good choice
