I think they should do it like Incredible Hulk also. Karen Paige could be the love interest. MCD is great as the Kingpin. Make it darker like Dark Knight because Daredevil's a dark character not just because that movie did good. The villain could be.....hmmm I don't really know many Daredevil villains. If Elektra should eventually return but not right away and Bullseye should too since we saw him hit the fly with the needle in the last scenes of Daredevil.

Daredevil has some villains with enormous potential.

Brubaker made Larry Cranston's Mr. Fear into a terrifying enemy recently. The Enforcers would need some alterations but they could be his muscle.

Gladiator would be great in film. He could become a member of the supporting cast after Matt redeems him. He could be the patsy for a crime spree by Mr. Fear.

Purple Man would be chilling. The recent version is a person deeply corrupted by his own power to control his victims.

Wonder if they could use Typhoid Mary? Nocenti's was brutal.

They may have to use Purple Man's real name or last name when in the movieverse because that would be a little lame to be called Purple Man in real life.

Thanks The Major for telling me about some Daredevil villains

That would be fine. He hasn't used his codename in comics for years any way.

No problem.

Affleck says he won't return, not sure if Favreau will do it with him now directing and playing Happy Hogan in the Iron Man movies.....might as well reboot it.

I hope they do make another Daredevil movie so somewhere down the line of it's franchise Elektra could return and be the ninja "fighting"=(not blowing up with gas and a candle) assassin who kicks ass

Oh ****, I just hope they forget about touching this property again ****ing fox hacks.

Reboot please, Jason Statham is apparently interested in the role.

No reboot. Just get the franchise right with a sequel. Release the "director's cut" in the theater, make it R, and keep Ben Affleck. Hulk and Punisher are examples to me of exactly why not to reboot/recast for the second movie after only a few years.

I disagree - the casting of Norton in TIH was not a detrimental to the movie; if fact, it was one of the best things about it.

I wouldnt like to see Affleck return to DD personally.

There are a few actors out there who are more suited to play Matt i.e, the guy in my sig.

A reboot could be good. But, I would never put it past Hollywood to find a way to screw it up.

If there's one guy I don'r want in this role, it's Jason Statham. I like him, but he's not right for this part.

While I dig the director's cut, it still is quite flawed and a reboot is what is needed for this franchise. The question is how.

My take:

The plot would be set in the early days of Matt and Foggy's careers, working at opposite ends of a large firm: Matt is working the court assigned defence cases, while Foggy is trying to make his way in the upper levels of the firm. At night, Matt acts as Daredevil, but his set up is far less sophisticated at this point (no sleeping chambers, etc. as he couldn't afford this equipment anyway). As the story moves on, we learn that the firm they work for is heavily tied to a criminal organization run by the Kingpin. The goals of the Kingpin would involve the firm covering up and defending a large number of criminal associates, which Matt becomes aware of and seeks to expose. Foggy is placed in a position where he is tempted by the firm in many ways, while Matt tries to get him to help him bring the firm down. Daredevil becomes the target for assasin Bullseye, while Matt is attacked through the legal channels as Kingpin and the firm attempt to destroy Matt's credibility and ruin his legal career.

As the film concludes, Matt and Foggy not only succeed in bringing down the firm, but are awarded damages for the attempted assasination of character attempted by the firm against them. As the film concludes, Matt suggests opening their own law firm together, given that they are more or less celebraties for their actions, while also distrusted by most of the major firms. The Kingpin escapes capture, while Bullseye is captured in prison, but not for long.

CAST:
Matt/Daredevil - Michael C. Hall

Foggy- Rory Cochrane (If he is willing to put on quite a bit of weight)

Kingpin -(This will never happen, I know mit, but would still think it amazing) Daniel Day-Lewis (After bulking up/Using prosthetics)

Bullseye - John Simm

Is he going to eat that pigeon ?

I was hoping Fox wouldn't do anything with it, so the rights would revert to Marvel Studios, and they'd do it their way, which seems to be going well so far.

That's the last plan I'd heard, until just recently. Fox, give it back. Please?

Though, you have to wonder if this were to happen, would Marvel be able to use that same leather outfit? Does that particular design belong to Fox?

I think with a little fine-tweaking, he'd be pretty decent.
We know he can do the action part, so that's a big draw.

I actually like Kevin McKidd - Being from the UK, I don't think I'd be totally incorrect in saying that I knew of and had seen McKidd before most on these boards. The 1st time I saw him on film was way back in 1996 as Tommy in Trainspotting.

McKidd's a good actor but to me though, he's just not Matt.

In terms of suitability for the role, I believe the guy below owns all of the actors that I can think of in terms of already having the attributes required for DD.

We already know that as an Emmy award winner, Hall has the talent. But he also has the pyhsical side down too.

Facially and folically (colour-wise) perfect for Matt:-

Already has the right kind of build for Matt (a great base to add quality muscle if need be):-

Seriously, he's damn-near perfect for DD.

Given the sheer growing popularity of 'Dexter' at the moment - I reckon it's only a matter of time until Hall is given the oppurtunity to make the transition to the big screen.

I'd love his 1st effort to be a new Daredevil movie.

Scrap that leather outfit and give us something more Daredevilish and practical. I hate that red leather biker outfit. The guy has ninja skills and is supposed to be a light footed acrobatic crime fighter. Wearing a fully leather outfit is just not practical for someone of his skills.

I'm liking the idea of Hall as DD more and more every day :woot:

Boy, SB are you the president of the Michael C. Hall for Matt Murdock Club? Just kidding, he'd be a great DD.

Lol.

No, not president. :D

To be honest, it's just that I havent been this convinced about an actor being perfect for a role since I saw Equilibrium in 2002 and thought that a certain Mr. Bale would make an awesome Bruce Wayne. Next thing you know, you can't go to a thread on the hype without seeing 'Bale Dammit!' somewheres.

And we all know what ensued with that one..........

So......what numbers would be an awesome choice for lottery?:woot:

Noyer:

Larry Cranston's Mr. Fear would work with that story better then Kingpin and Bullseye. They're not the only good villains in DD's rogues gallery.

Ed Brubaker's version would fit nicely.

Interest doesn't mean he's right for it.

He'd make a great DD and a terrible Murdock. You can't have a good DD without both.

DD deserves more then decent.

Matt Damon can do that, is closer in appearance to Murdock and is a superior actor who could do the scenes for drama, pretending to be blind and make a convincing lawyer.
