All of the above, is all the more reason why DD should be a TV series and not a movie. It can be dark and serious like TDK while incorporating the best of CSI, HEROES and LAW & ORDER. It could be a huge crossover hit!

CSI because of Matt's ability to do detective work and figure out crime scenes etc.

Hereos because you could use an ensemble cast (Luke Cage, Punisher, Iron Fist, Cloak and Dagger, Dr. Strange ect...)

Law & Order because of the following a case from opening to closing. Following both the police and the lawyers during the course of a case.

That would be an AWESOME show!

I really dont want to see Daredevil become a procedural show. Id much rather it be something like Dexter and The Shield, where the case, or the big picture, lasts the entire season. That is if it does become a tv show

yeah, definitely no on the law and order aspect, yes on the shield. I want the plot to build and carry over through the whole season. not a "case of the week" show.

I hope Marvel Studios branches out to TV, Bruckheimer-style! It would be great to see a DD TV series that is in the same universe as IM, TIH, and the other future Marvel movies.

Agreed.

Totally--they should do something like that (but good, unlike the Bruckheimer-style)--I was just thinking about it the other day :hehe:

Not how I intended that to be. Law and Order in the fact that you would see the entire case unfold...over then entire season or story arc that lasts 3-6 episodes, with a continuing longers story arc carrying through.

Rage

I would cast a better actor, for all the parts but mostly for DD.
I would go the Ninja rout. His costume, instead of being leather and padded would be a ninja type outfit and the fabric would be thinner and lightweight. It would still be red and maybe even dark red like in the original movie.
I would make the plot simple, not try to add too much like the original did.
It would just introduce DD/Matt, and Kingpin. Maybe even introduce Bullseye as Kingpin's assassin.

(I think the hardest part of trying to make a realistic DD movie is the fact that he wears a red costume but is a Batman type character.)

Just a red suit is more realistic than a bat suit.

Now, a blind superhero.. that's something else :hehe:

What I mean is, Batman (In Nolan's film) is able to justify it by saying he is a symbol.
But DD is just wearing a red costume with horns. Not really a symbol.
Plus its more believable that a man would wear a costume if it was dark and helped him hide.

..not to mention that he calls himself a devil while being such a religious.. um, guy

The best way to reboot DD is via a TV series... he can be re-created, and his story retold on the small screen... Then the series itself can be expanded to a movie, which would replace the original, using the canon of the series.

I want MK TV series more than DD. Psychological drama, MK "Cave", Frenchie, Angel-Wing, Moon Copter all add up to make MK a more fascinating series.

daredevil in a martial arts outfit would suck major asss
What I meant was not to make his costume a martial arts outfit or a ninja costume completely. Just use that as the jumping off point, the basis. Instead of making his costume leather and padding, start it out by being thinner material and coming from the ninja stand point.

how bout just translate the costume as best as possible to the screen? Theres no reason to change the main look of it. Spider-man, Iron Man, Fantastic Four, were all able to do that. Theres really no reason Daredevil shouldnt.

Amalgamated Dynamics Inc would nail a faithful yet practical Daredevil suit...................

I had a thought not too long ago. I didn't like Punisher: War Zone much at all, so that's kind of three strikes for Frank Castle. However, one criticism I read a lot about the movie was that a lot of people wanted to see Punisher but heads with other Marvel characters, like Daredevil or Wolverine or Spider-Man. Well, why not do something a little unorthodox: Do a single movie featuring Daredevil and Punisher working the same case. If that movie does well, then it can be a platform to revive both franchises.

I was thinking something similar for Punisher because I prefer him as a supporting character.

Random:
I was just reading some issues from volume 2 this week... in the absence of Elektra, I really wouldn't mind seeing Echo worked into a Daredevil sequel.

Her ties with Fisk would do well, were his character to make a comeback.

Just makin' a note.

Man, Michael C. Hall and Robert Knepper would own the roles of Daredevil and Bullseye respectively.
