gahhh I just saw Vin Diesel there..

Belle is also a stunt coordinator you said yourself, and not just an actor with a varied history of training in military, martial arts, gymnastics, and created his own stunt form, parkour. I see no reason why Cyril should be the only one allowed to do things.

i said "parkour" coordinator. and i didnt mean it like he's "just" an actor. I meant in regards to his experience coordinating stunts. i know he has a very experienced history outside of film and that's where my respect for him comes from. if you've ever seen his interviews you can see his passion for parkour as a way of life, as symbolizing aspects of life, apart from just the physical. but anyways, my point is, cyril just has a way of making stuff look amazing on film. so i would much rather be mentored by david belle, but i would rather watch what cyril can put on film. he just has the experience in stunt coordinating and fight choreography. its amazing his transitions between martial arts and gymnastics seemlessly in the middle of a fight sequence. david belle is better suited for movies like prince of persia. no one can come near his parkour.

But what is so different in the action style of prince of persia and daredevil beyond the obvious. Both mix free-running and martial arts, especially Daredevil, who is much more a traditional roof jumper, shadow lurking, street level fighter, who uses a lot of impulse and some martial arts training to smooth out the rough edges. It seems to me that David Belle complements Daredevils style much more than Cyril. Can Cyril do it? Yes, but Belle more naturally leans towards Daredevil's movement style, so IMO he would be better. Its one thing to say Cyril makes things look great on film, but you can say that for a wide range of people and filmmaking positions, and its not enough for me to just pick him for reputation rather than his ability to effortlessly complement the character. Its the same as saying Stephen Spielberg should direct every movie rather than choosing Nolan or Favreau for their ability to complement the character

so, how about, david belle coordinates the parkour, and cyril choreographs the fights? compromise? thats what they did in district b13. cyril's stunt team did the stunts while david belle handled the parkour and even introduced it to him. also the rooftop jumping would be shown mostly separate from the fighting, so they could actually both double as DD. wishful thinking, but i'm sure the both of them would jump at the opportunity of what could be a great franchise, on tv or movies.

^ Wow... I am sure that I saw that before... but it is DAMN good. I might call for Oldman over Depp as Terror, Inc, but Depp would be fine too. This gets a A+

I actually think Vin Diesel is really good when he's just a supporting actor. It's the movies where he's the main start is where he sucks. Saving private Ryan and Knockaround Guy's I thought he did awesome in.

Ill repost my old one I guess

Daredevil- Michael C Hall
Foggy Nelson- Vincent D'Onofrio
Kingpin- Ray Winstone
Electra- Stana Katic
Typhoid Mary- Daneel Harris
Ben Urich- Jay Karnes
Purple Man- Til Shweiger
Bullseye- Ben Foster
Gladiator- Vin Diesel
Barracuda- Tiny Lister
Luke Cage- Idris Elba
Iron Fist- Charlie Hunnam
Misty Knight- Sydney Potier
Colleen Wing- Devon Aoki
Shang Chi- Jason Scott Lee
Black Widow- Ivana Milicevic (but I like Emily Blunt)
Black Panther- Djimon Honsou
Blade- Brian J White
Dr. Strange- Joseph Fiennes
Terror, Inc- Johnny Depp
Werewolf by Night- Josh Holloway
Hannibal King- Jared Leto
Moon Knight- Desmond Harrington
Frenchie- Jean Reno
Orson Randall- Bruce Willis

It goes outside of a Daredevil movie, but I kinda hope Marvel treats the "MArvel Kngihts" like they did the Avengers, couple of solos that crossover everyonce in awhile
You know D'onofrio is like 6'5", right?

Personally, I think he'd be better for Kingpin. Seriously

I dont think he seems strong. Ray Winstone is heavy, chubby guy but he still seems strong, D'Onofrio just seems pudgy

Pudgy??? Maybe in Full Metal Jacket... He is actually pretty lean. With is height, a "bulk-suit" could work well, in order to make him fit the Wilson Fisk appearance.

Lean? Must not have seen him lately because he's balooned. He was quite large in the last Law and Order promo I saw.

I know people here including myself have been casting him in everything from Captain America to Green Lantern, but how about Scott Porter as Matt Murdock/Daredevil.

Well... I guess that I have to admit that I have no idea what his most current state is. He has shown some range in his weight.

this cast would work for movie or tv series

so here's a rough draft of the casting i would like to see..

ANybody else wanna see Iron Fist and maybe even Cage show up in a DD movie (just for a little bit)? Could even set up for their own movie. I'd go crazy to see them all on screen.

The Keifer Sutherland/Purple Man thing is genius.

Somehow though, I cant see Kiefer being as obliging when it comes to the prospect of wearing purple makeup.

They could use CGI and lighting to lighten his features into an otherworldly purple.

Danger, that is one fine cast. For some reason I really like the idea of Dr. House as Ben Urich.

I kinda like Donal Logue as Foggy! Yeah he was already in Ghost Rider...but he is just perfectly suited to play foggy!!

Rage

he was in blade too, but i could definitely get on board with that idea though

I'd prefer the Incredible Hulk treatment where the first movie is not acknowledged within the movie (I'm sure this has been said multiple times in the last 19 pages - so apologies), but it has happened. Kingpin has been ID'd and has gone to Prison, Elektra has died, Bullseye is injured but alive etc.

But recast big time, and I think the second movie should be about Matt finding who he is and undergoing substantial training having been found by Stick in a bit of a mess. He's given up being Daredevil due to the deaths and his lack of moral compass, and is focussing entirely on his Law firm, which is now doing a lot better. Stick informs him he has an important role to play in things and must embrace the duality his gifts demand.

He keeps his faith, learns how to temper his anger and become a better fighter.

No idea on casting yet though - maybe post later

That's what I keep saying. Move on with a new cast but don't rehash everything. No origin needed, intro new characters, and go from there.
