Let the battle of commence !

Hopefully this will be harder than my other thread....

I say Endgame. Time travel plot holes aside, it really was a great culmination of over 10 years' work and 20+ films.

No Way Home was a great celebration of Spider-Man in film, but it doesn't really feel like a conclusion to me. This won't be the last we see of Holland's Spider-Man, and it seemed like the door was left open for Maguire and Garfield to return.

The Dark Knight Rises is a little messy in the second half but it's still a worthy conclusion to the trilogy.

  1. The Dark Knight Rises
  2. Avengers Endgame
  3. Spider-Man: No Way Home

The Dark Knight Rises is one of my very top comic book movies, I had fun with No Way Home and I really don't like Endgame, so it's a very easy choice for me.

All great franchise-capping films. Endgame is just capping the biggest project (ever!).

Not really. :cwink:
While I liked TDKR fine, I thought it was clearly the weakest of the Nolan efforts.

TDKR was one of the biggest disappointments of my film going career, so of the other two? Endgame

Endgame is a bit messy, a bit self-indulgent, but one hell of a culmination to an enormous and ambitious saga. That gets my vote.

The Dark Knight Rises is handsomely shot and well acted. Far and away the weakest of the trilogy though, it sacrificed sense for scale and feels like Nolan's heart wasn't in it. Decent enough overall.

No Way Home is fun trash. A shoddy, slapped together film, but a very well produced awards show sketch.

Endgame for me, although I enjoy all 3 of them. That being said, NWH does have the distinction of being the only one of the three movies here to be the best of its respective trilogies (or quadrilogy), since both EG and TDKR were preceded by (IMHO) superior films in IW and TDK.

Unfortunately, this scene will always be a blight on TDKR:

I would rank them exactly opposite of the poll results so far:

No Way Home
TDKR
Endgame.

All that said, I really like all three films.

I felt satisfied with how all three movies ended, but TDKR felt too long and overindulged in Bane's backstory and way too much time on Bruce trying to escape (could've trimmed 20 minutes). Endgame didn't feel like a 3 hour opus, it was a well deserved culmination of 20+ films.

NWH was surprisingly more emotional and had more sentimental meaning for me. It was the first Holland Spidey film I could fully invest in and it was so wonderful seeing Maguire and Garfield back. It won't be the last Spidey film for either actor, but NWH is my favorite out of these three movies.

I went TDKR, but didn't realise the poll was multiple choice. Would have been TDKR and Endgame. Dug NWH, but not on the level of the other two.

Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: No Way Home are two of the best cbms ever!

Nolan dropped the ball.

Endgame is the best film of those three.

The Dark Knight Rises is still leagues above the majority of comic book films today. It's way way more of an emotional and epic conclusion than people give it credit for. Heck, the prologue alone is more of an adrenaline rush than some comic films in recent years.
