The Dark Knight Dark Knight Tie-Ins

It does have something to do with Batman series; perhaps you should read more closely. I can't be blamed for the inaccuracies of your skimming. I'll put it all in one place, so you don't miss it:

1. I am tired of the market being flooded with anime, therefore I am disappointed the series will be anime-style.

2. I am annoyed with the lack of traditional western animation these days, therefore I think the Batman series should have been done this way.

3. I dislike imitation anime, which this series will likely be.

Even if I hadn't said these things outright, it's a simple matter of connecting the dots to understand how my points relate to the Batman series in question.

I agree with numbers 1 and 2. Number 3 I kinda throw in the same boat as number 1. I can't stand how it's not good or it's not cool unless its jap anime. :whatever: :whatever: :whatever:

Yes, I believe that needed 3 eye rollers. It's gotten to the point that an American icon is getting a Japanese influence, that isn't right unless Japan asked Warner Bros. for the rights to make a show strictly for Japan.

This is upsetting to me. I'm really, really sick of them taking classic American properties and giving us ****ty anime cartoon versions. We already have an anime-Batman anyways. It's called "The Batman".

I think this is a pretty naive way to think. He's a worldwide icon, and if WB decides they want to branch into other cultural interpretations, there's nothing wrong with that. I may prefer the DTV series be western-style, but making it anime isn't a bad thing.

Warner Bros. owns the character and is responsible for all media featuring him. If it's anime, it's because they wanted it that way.

Well, no. The Batman is, at best, imitation anime, not real anime. It's even sort of a stretch to call it imitation, because the style is actually sort of a middle ground between western animation and anime.

But you haven't seen a single frame of it. You already said that proper anime would work for Batman. So why not just wait before judging?

2. I am annoyed with the lack of traditional western animation these days, therefore I think the Batman series should have been done this way.
It's already been confirmed that it's anime, so why ponder on what could've been?

3. I dislike imitation anime, which this series will likely be.
Assumption based on....?

As far as I can see, you've just been talking about your distaste in things not going your way. Which....you're not even sure is true yet, since there haven't been further details released.

God Dammit Warner Bros. WE DON'T WANT TO SEE AN ANIME BATMAN!!! DID YOU JUST SUDDENLY FORGET ABOUT BTAS???!!!

BTAS's animation was slow, lumpy, and inconsistent most of the time.

Some episodes yeah, but I enjoyed the Fliescher-esque style of Bruce Timm's cartoons, and its still a million times better than that ****ty "the batman" cartoon.

I'm not judging. I'm not talking about the quality of this project. It may be pure gold. Nevertheless, I prefer that it be pure gold rendered in western animation style, for reasons previously stated. Comprehend?

It's already been confirmed that it's anime, so why ponder on what could've been?
Because this is a discussion forum, so I am here to discuss.

Current trends.

As far as I can see, you've just been talking about your distaste in things not going your way.
As opposed to what? If I was saying "Great, I love this idea!" you wouldn't be saying "You're just talking about your love for things going your way," would you? No, you would not. Your comment is essentially you saying "All you're doing is providing your thoughts!" Well, yeah. And? I'm pretty sure that's what everyone is doing everywhere on this board.

Which....you're not even sure is true yet, since there haven't been further details released.
I am sure. It's anime, therefore it's not what I want. Where is the confusion? You act as if I'm saying "OMG TEH ANIME IS TEH SUCK AND TEH FLIM WILL BLOW," which is not what I am saying. It may very well be the epitome of greatness, but I am still disappointed for reasons previously explained. That is all.

BTAS's animation was slow, lumpy and inconsistent. Then it got better with TNBA. Superman: TAS had much better animation, then they messed it up again with the animation of Justice League, then they continued that mediocrity with the first season of JLU, then they started getting better with JLU season 2, and then JLU season 3 messed it up again.

What kind of a man are you? Im doubting you have any balls. BTAS was the shiz nizz as african americans say.

BTAS's fight scenes were slow and boring. TNBA's were an improvement.

"A licensing sheet for The Dark Knight was recently posted online, but a lot of the text was too small to read. Now, 'batman205' has given us the scoop on just what it said. Here's Warner Bros.' plans for "The Year of the Bat":

- A direct-to-video anime-style series that takes place in the time period between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, and further explores the Batman legend.

- Multi-platform videogame inspired by The Dark Knight.

- Extensive consumer products range to support both the new film and classic Batman brand.

- DC Comics will publish an extensive range of material surrounding The Dark Knight including a comic book adaptation of the film, coffee table books, children's activity books and more!"

I'm all for that except the anime style; sorry guys but BatMan just isn't ment to be anime (mainly because I think anime sucks:cmad: ). If there must be CGI to video series keep it classy like TAS or like Justice League Unlimited; just keep it away from the anime.

you do realize TAS and JLU can be considered anime style as well?

Anime? Jesus, talk about bringin in the gimmicks, cash cow....

No, not anime. :csad: Why do they even bother?

But who knows, maybe it'll be like Clone Wars.

This board would collectively **** their pants if the movie animated like the anime in Kill Bill.

First off, I don't really care what "style" they use as long as the animination is good and the script and the vocal performances are good.

I am thinking these things might be about Batman "looking into it" as he said he was going to do at the end of BB, and tracking this mysterious theatical armed robber double murderer that left the Joker card Gordon showed him. Only he keeps coming up empty with false leads and dead ends.

I haven't bought or even watched the Animatrix or Riddick things, but considering this is Batman, I might very well buy this and add it to my collection.

Yea who cares if its anime, Im buying it, gotta know what happend between BB and TDK plus if Bale and Ledger end up doing voiceing for it thatlle be awesome. I hope its longer than some 30 minute video

and that's what they want, money....

Can't wait. "Money, money, MONEY!.... MONEY!!!"

BTW, wth are coffee table books????

Great! Great start for the marketing campaign. I can see TDK being the new Matrix Reloaded (STOP! WAIT! --- Hoping that this will actually be good!)

AHH GOD DAMMIT THE MATRIX RELOADED WAS AWESOME STOP SAYING THAT

Sorry, I didn't like it. But I absolutely loved the hype and the marketing campaign at the time!
