Days of Marvels Future RPG: Season One/OOC

Well I was thinking of Ben and Johnny making a new team. Simply called the Fantastics. That will consist of whoever will join. They always help if they are needed but they don't take order from Fury.
Also is Wolverine reserved and/or taken??

He wants to be in this and sad he will try to make time if he can get some good characters.
 
Hey guys. Can I ask a favor? You see, I know I'm not great at this and really want to better myself. So what do guys think of my posts? Be as harsh as you like. Where can I improve?
 
Your doing well so far, Doom.

Except, I don't think Johnny would ever be so civil towards Victor, no matter what the circumstances. Look how quickly he attempted to take out Magneto in Secret Wars, he's not one to forgive quickly; especially if it's the man he hates the most.

Rebel: Those who work actively to overthrow the Skrulls. If you are a rebel you must be part of an established team. the current rebel groups are:

X-Men S: The X-Men Lead by Mr. Sinister.
X-Men M: The X-Men lead by Magneto.
Avengers: Guerilla groups lead by Fury out of the 33 secret bases that SHIELD has established prior to the Skrull invasion.
Human: Those humans who live in Safe Haven (Africa) under the protection of the Hulk.

If you wish to create a new rebel group that must be specifically approved.

Who is your character and what has your character been doing since the events of the purge: Namor has been in hiding ever since his "death." Both Skrulls and people alike believe him to be dead. Though he is waiting for the perfect time to strike the Skrulls and win back Atlantis, he has been doing some secret actions.

In his hiding, he has been keeping secret watch over all dealings between Atlantis and the surface world. Over the past few years, he has stopped some Skrull transports and parties. Killing all the survivors and leaving no evidence of his presence.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1) Namor is the Prince of Atlantis and had much influence in the "old world."

2) Namor is one of my fav guys.

3) He's a prideful badass. We need a lot of those in this new world.

Write a complete paragraph using proper English grammar explaining what you plan to do with the character you've chosen (i.e. What are your goals? Will you be doing anything different with the character than is usually seen?) Do not skimp on this part of the Application, while I do not need to know every detail of the arc you wish to write, I do wisg to avoid the classic problem of applying for a character without any idea of the story you wish to tell: I plan on having Namor move closer and closer to his goal of re-establshing himself as ruler of Atlantis, and getting rid of the Skrull threat as best he can. He will be in the dark and shadows for a while, so his exsistence will still be masked by his death.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As many as needed.

New York

Namor stands behind the wreckage of a building. He wears a torn black cloth. Underneath, he still wears his royal clothes, a symbol of his inhibility to let go of the past. He surveys the barren landscape, the over turned cars, the still smoldering buildings, and the streets cluttered with debris.

"How did they infiltrate the surface dwellers? How could they have been so stupid! As always, their mistakes have brought chaos and suffering to Atlantis."

Suddenly, Namor hears the humming of a Skrull scout ship overhead. He quickly runs and ducks under a broken over hang, and watches carefully as it passes by. He moves out from underneath the over hang, and removes the cloth from over his head.

"For too long I have waited. For too long my people have suffered under these outlanders. It is time I do something more. My antics have been nothing less than ineffective. It is time I act."

Suddenly, a Skrull guard moves from behind a building. He sees Namor, and begins to run toward him.

"Hey, you!"

"Foolish, alien! It is time I show you what happens when you make Atlantis suffer!"
 
And I had to think about this RPG, and then I remembered Spider-Man getting his old white ass whiped would be awsome to watch. So I thought I better join up. :oldrazz:

A body was found and brought to Iron Man, director of SHIELD. This body was actually one of a Skrull. This was one of the first clues of the Skrull being on earth. When the Illuminati revealed they were Skrull, a task force set up by SHIELD went after them. Eventually more Skrull arrived and it forced the SHIELD agents to go into hiding. They were later attacked by the Skrull, leaving the SHIELD HQ for destruction as they brought in a captured Iron Man. Tony Stark has been kept as a slave now, as he struggles to keep himself alive with the energy left in his life sustaining-machine. He plans on escaping and reclaiming his title as Iron Man, only this time it will be much more difficult, due to lack of resources.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1) I can related to Tony Stark and his personality and ego

2) Iron Man is a brilliant character, how he uses his suit to not only keep himself alive but also save the lives of others.

3) he's fun and I think using this new story line of "dark times" in the world is great for re-building characters

I plan on making it as though Stark was a prisoner of the Skrull and he was forced to build them weapons to build up their military. After duplicating a lot of the old work Stark did, the Skrull plan on killing their slave (sort of a repeat of the original Iron Man comics) He will eventually escape the Skrull and begin sabotaging everything he helped build for the Skrull. Stark will then travel to Africa to seek out more heroes and discover what has happened since his long absence. He will be told about the guerrillas such as the Avengers and goes out to join the group he was once apart of.

It had been a long day when the Skrull had decided to launch their attack on the SHIELD HQ. Tony Stark, the new director of SHIELD had never faced such a global threat. This war was for all humanity. They had lost the last few wars and Tony needed new weapons. He knew it would eventually come to this... he had finally launched Project: Iron Men. All of Tony's remaining suits were handed out to the greatest SHIELD agents. Each Iron Man would lead a small group of Agents through a different part in the defensive plan to combat against the incoming Skrull. Finally, the war hit and the Iron Men went out with the plans Tony had set out for them... little did they know one of the Iron Men was a Skrull. He had passed on the plan to the Skrull army and they took SHIELD over with ease, capturing every Iron Man and killing them all... all but one, Tony Stark.

Tony was taken prisoner. He was deprived of his suit and forced to build the Skrull weapons. While in this prison, news of a total control over the world reached Tony. The Iron Men project had failed. This event proved how Tony could never work with a group of people again. There could only be one Iron Man now, and it wasn't the Iron Skrull who had infiltrated SHIELD as an Agent. The Skrull had made one mistake though; they hadn't done their research. History was going to repeat itself. Tony was working on a new suit. Something strong enough to allow himself to escape the prison and get his only remaining suit from the Iron Skrull.

At that moment, that same Skrull entered the room.

"Hello Stark"

Tony glanced at the Skrull in his Iron Suit then got back to screw driving what would soon be his helmet.

"I presume this to be the first of the Super Combat Suits we ordered you to develop?"

Tony stayed quiet.

"Answer me!"

The Skrull shoots a beam from his hand at Tony. Tony's body begins to sting and steam, however he is still quiet.

"Sorry, were you saying something?"

"Yes I-"

"Oh okay, well you can leave now."

The Skrull shoots him again. Stark doesn't even flinch.

"You see Skrull, I built those beams to my own DNA. They can't harm me."

"Then I'll just go change the blasters"

"Oh don't worry I got some 'handy'"

Tony drops the screwdriver from under the desk, pulls his charging glove up and blasts the Iron Skrull into the wall. He throws the half finished helmet aside. He was originally planning to make a completely new suit but this one walked right back into his life. He quickly put the suit on and hid the unconscious Skrull in a safe in the back room with an adimantium lock on it.

"I truly am invincible"

Iron Man blasts off through the above floors and out of the facility.

I'm holding off on this until Kaboom weighs in.

I personally think "no." We're only allowing a couple of the Illuminati back, and I don't think Stark should be one of them. But it's really K's call.
 
I gave it a back story that could explain what happened to him in a "make-sense" sort of way. Showing what happened to the real Iron Man while the Skrull took over (the Iron Skrull would've impersonated him) also, his capture would ensure the Skrull getting Stark's gem.
