DC Relaunching Everything? - Part 1

Just found this out, but apparently the covers for Superboy, Supergirl and Superman leaked. Pick on these for a bigger version. The bottom half of Superman looks pretty bad Got to like how Supergirl evades the 'fear of bare legs' rule, sheesh. I do kind of like her redesign, though.

I can handle change, but they all look Disgusting. An armored look doesn't work for a character like Superman, what does he need knee pads for? I've seen much better fan redesigns than this and what does this mean for Superboy? Is he not a clone but an android or some freakish mecha ****? could go either way for me

Supergirl is the only one that looks somewhat palatable, but just barely.

Problem Superman?

Still, they got one thing right. With the belt being red, we have some red around that area to break up the blue. Pantyless batman looks naked by comparison.

But How is this different from that crappy Batman design? You're right he did look naked in that suit, but Superman doesn't fare much better IMO, they both share the same problem, just the belt alone isn't enough to adequately break up the main color. I'd have prefered they try experimenting with different shades of blue for contrast, or even add a little more red on the suit

If Batman's belt was black we would have black around the crotch area and he wouldnt look naked. Now its like he's naked with a pair of boots and gloves.
That said i dont want a black belt. Just saying why it works for Superman. They should put the undies back on batman. I mean how exactly are these new suits any more serious and easier to accept than the old ones?

Just took a peep at all the "new titles" and it's just like I thought.

25 or so issues of well known no-contest books, and 25 books that are just them prying for new books that will be gone before the first arc is done.

Superman's new suit is one that looks exact same at first glance, but seems slightly off. Then you really look at it, and a ton of little changes just pile up until you start to think it's an entirely different suit.

the thing with these costumes.............they can always change/redesign them, especially if the backlash is large enough.

story and character direction are more important to me.........

"Oh, Superman looks the exact same. Oh, his red shorts are gone. And his belt is different. It's a red belt, too. And there's all kinds of padding on his boots. And kneepads. And little indented lines all across his legs and arms and under his arms. Oh, and his collar is higher. And his sleeves are slightly longer. OH MY GOD, IT'S LIKE A DIFFERENT SUIT ENTIRELY!"

But really, the only noticeable difference if you're not paying attention is the lack of red shorts.

Supes looks fine. People can ***** all they want, and knowing the hype, they will (for a very long time, at that), but at least it's not as vomit inducingly terrible as TT's new look.

It just occured to me that Young Justice has superior suits for almost every character. They even have seams but they re subtle so they look good. So take Aquaman for example, a book i'm very excited about. Take a look and tell me, doesnt YJ AM look better?

Eh, I like the gold gauntlets are pretty cook, but I've always loved the scales on the regular costume.
