Where did you find this at is it legit?

its actually a tricky image. because its a really well drawn and heroic looking image. but when you just get down to the aesthetics as a superman costume, its just gross and doesnt work.

I bet he doesn't even have a "Clark Kent" identity anymore, because in 2013, The heirs of Jerry Seigel will get ownership of all the elements from Action Comics #1, which means Clark Kent, Lois Lane, his costume (in that issue) and the ability to leap over tall buildings with a single bound...

... and the red eyes are probably a way for DC to not give him a secret identity, because the red eyes would be a dead giveaway; therefore, Supes has no secret identity...

Just sayin'...

:o

Even as not a Superman suit, the aesthetics are pretty wack. Mainly because of those ugly ass seams.

Oh, TMOB. Tsk, Tsk, Tsk. :csad:

I can't believe how stupid that belt looks. I mean, it doesn't even look like a cool belt for any hero. The seamwork is also completely awful, lacking any kind of flow.

I think that image is a fake though; there's no artist signature, and the the title of the book is actually "Superman: The Man of Tomorrow," not just "Superman." You can also see on the edge of the S in "Superman" is messed up at the border, which indicates to me it was cut from some other image.

Snyder, do NOT take this as inspiration.

God, this is just awful. He still has briefs, but they made them irrelevant by making them blue?

What an ugly, ugly costume. Doesn't suit Superman at all.
I dont think those are briefs. They re lines so that his crotch doesnt look saggy like this.

Good observation. I also believe DC dropped the 'Drawing the Line' oval on their prices, too, if I'm not mistaken.

It doesn't really matter, if they look like briefs they might as well be briefs. And they should be, nayway, because Superman looks stupid without them.

theres a JPR signed in the bottom right corner.

i fully believe the drawing is officially from DC. the graphic design aspects is probably the stock header they are currently are using on the superman comics and used it to just get this image out there.

Well maybe but the suit is pretty much what we've seen so...

That looks kind of like a watermark, actually...

The design is certainly legit. There's another image on Yahoo news. That outfit sucks.

I think the only characters that can really get away with stuff like that are the Bat familiy. There's literally no reason why Superman needs reinforced knees on his costume.

That's a watermark, which would have been added digitally (which is to say not by the penciller). If anything, that's probably the signature of the person who mocked this up.

For sure; we already know that's what Superman is going to look like from covers DC has released officially. The only question is whether this particular illustration is fan made or not.

It may be that the illustration is real (which is to say from DC comics) and that some internet-person just saw fit to mock it up as a cover (with the title and whatnot).

Or it could be entirely fan made, with the outfit based on covers we've already seen.

i know its a digital watermark, but i've seen artists sign like that before.

it definitely looks like a mock up, but one done by DC comics to promote the relaunch.
