Barbara is the real Batgirl though. If you ask anybody on the street who is Batgirl, they'll say Barbara Gordon.

And they'll say John Stewart is the real Green Lantern and want to know who this white guy is in this movie wearing his costume.

Babs isn't the "real" Batgirl, she's just the Batgirl who got put into the last movie / cartoon series your average idiot happened to see.

Well in all fairness, Barbara usually IS synonomous with Batgirl. She was batgirl on the 60's show, most of the cartoons, most of the comics.....Batman and Robin the movie (shudders). I dont see anyone else who really comes to mind when batgirl is brought up.

Babs is Batgirl to me. She may not be the first but when I think of Batgirl she comes to mind. BUT thats just me.

True, but hearing the Ultimate Warrior over there talk about Babs best period as if it were the Clone saga is kind of annoying.

Well the first batgirl was technically Bat-Girl wasnt she? So Babs is the first Batgirl.

Here, take this, it should help:

Cassandra is Batgirl to me...........:ninja:

but Kara will always be my Supergirl...........:o :hrt:

Im getting the feeling that Dreadstar is just a dude playing around on his keyboard messing with us.

I don't know why people are still acknowledging that guy. I wrote him out of the Hype's canon on the first thread. He's not the original person with Dread in their name, so he doesn't count for anything.

What ever happened to Dread anyway?

The dude would write these reviews of comics that were longer than the comics themeslves. It was quite amusing.

He sticks to the Marvel Comics forum. Still does the same thing.

He's still here. Posts pretty regularly in the Marvel board, especially in the Bought/Thought thread, still reviewing like only Dread can (and he gets paid for it now, too).

Barbara would have been better off as Batwoman. Not that I don't like Kane as Batwoman, I'm just saying...isn't she too old to want to be Batgirl? Like when Dick decided to mature into Nightwing? Even if I can somehow adjust to Barbara being able to magically walk again (Mephisto's doing???), it just seems weird seeing this serious, intel-esque, adult woman go back to being her 16 year old identity. And I mean back when she WAS 16, not her identity from 16 years ago. Same reason why Dick shouldn't go any further back than Nightwing and Tim does NOT need to regress back to being the Boy Wonder Robin (as awesome a Robin he was).

Speaking of which, am I and I'm assuming SoullesS the only one's liking the new Red Robin look? Damn, than Dr. Midnight look and head-coverig mask was terrible for Tim.

Well, maybe she won't be an adult. Maybe she'll get regressed back to that age? I think there was even a theory that it's Babs' avatar look in the VR stuff from Batman, Inc. (though, I kind of doubt it). But yes, it is pretty weird to see. It's as weird as it would be seeing Dick being Robin again.

Cass is my Batgirl and Matrix is my Supergirl. F*** Kara. :oldrazz:

Isn't Matrix the Supergirl who had telekinesis and those fiery angel wings?

if so, she's cool too in my book!

now......if only those two characters could merge into one Supergirl........

hey......if you're going to relaunch/reboot, why not make it interesting and add some new powers to the mix? :word: :oldrazz:

Linda Danvers is the one true Supergirl. The others are just BULL%$#@!

Any book that features anything that is NOT Linda, then I will NOT BUY!

End of story!

I think he's supposed to be a parody of me. I know I'm the biggest old fart fan on here, but geez, at least I back up my positions and do want characters to grow. Like what happened to Babs, as much as I hated it, I'd still work with it and I would keep her as Oracle, just in a costume as I mentioned before. She's really too mature and adult to be Batgirl anymore. She WAS my Batgirl growing up, and Dick was my Robin, but I don't mind them graduating to new identities. I will miss Dick as Batman, however.

Now, Kara will always be Supergirl to me, but by Kara I mean the Pre-Crisis Kara and the character Kara became in the last year or so of her own book, which was pretty similar. I like Kara to be more innocent and a little unsure of herself, but in a gentle way, not an emo whiny way.

I like Power Girl a little more than Supergirl just because her *****y, brash character is fun. I think there's more to her than just that, however. But like the rest of the JSA characters, I think it's best for her to be on Earth-Two.
