DC Relaunching Everything? - Part 5

I don't think I've read a single issue that DnA wrote that wasn't good. This was no exception.

Yeah, we went over that.

Which leads to the question of was it shoved into 5 years, happened during that vague amount of time that Bat's and GL were active before Supes showed up, or just the important stuff happened and everything else is gone.

Which we also went over. :o
Sorry, I'm entraining at the moment.

psh, I never read Superman/Batman. to me, that book just screamed "I'm useless! Don't read me!"

Actually, there was quite a few really awesome issues that highlighted classic elements of the Superman and Batman families.

But you wouldn't know anything about that. And neither would DnA.

Did anybody else read Resurrection Man? seems like it's flying pretty far under the radar, even with the recent popularity of Abnett and Lanning..

I downloaded this on my iPad today at work while on lunch and it was REALLY awesome. I agree with a poster earlier who said that the art was a little touchy in spots. Some panels and pages were absolutely brilliant and then other panels were just kind of "Meh". However, the story was cool and the character is just extremely interesting. I highly suggest this a lot!

If you wanna point 'em out to me, I might learn something about that. I'm just not into anthology-type titles like this. I felt the same about the JLA and JSA Classified titles.

Not really.

DnA's writing still sucked.

well if you won't point them out, then I'll happily resume my apathy toward that title.

I believe it. but the only exposure I have to them was the cosmic Marvel stuff. which was awesome.

and now Resurrection Man. Which is also good (so far, anyway).

Who the heck is the new red headed Batgirl? Is that Barbera? Did the relaunch finally give her the ability to walk again?

yeah, it's Babs as Batgirl again. so far, we don't know how she got use of her legs back, apart from her saying it was a "miracle".

I personally think she just rehabbed and people are reading too much into the miracle angle.

her time as Oracle is still in canon. but as far as we know, nobody's filled the role since she's gone back to being Batgirl.

Did anyone else pick up Deathstroke? I hope so; I want this book to last.

Really groovy. The end was a :wow:. Slade's definitely not pulling punches.

Suicide Squad shows promise. Still hate Deadshot's new outfit; just way too busy and cyborgy.

Batman & Robin was great.

Wow, its about damn time! Its something Ive wanted for over 20 years. She's the only true Batgirl for me. Did they get a new Oracle to replace her?

And in between that 20 years, there's a s**t load of people that grew to love some of the other batgirls, so, you know, f**k regression.

Quite frankly, she's grown beyond Batgirl and they should just kept her as Oracle. Maybe an Oracle who likes to get out in the field this time around.

As long as you recended your previous statement, I'm pleased. :o

In any case, any of Green and Johnson's run is good. They had a few arcs that addressed Superman and Batman's fundamental, yet complimentary differences...plus they wrote a few good one shots featuring the Robins and Supergirl that really highlighted their qualities.

sweet, I'll try to track those down. thanks for the recommendation.

So I don't know if this is true, but the chick that rung up my purchase at Star Clipper Comics told me today that hidden Waldo style in every issue of the neew 52 # 1's is the same hooded woman that appeared in Flashpoint.

Fact: Gleason draws an incredible dynamic duo.
