Actually, I wrote the comment before I read RHatO, I've had a *thing* against Kory since I started reading comics.

Why dont you like Starfire Twylight

BoP was another beast altogether. I went in not expecting much. But the brush off from Babs hurt me. There went years and years of a built friendship down the drain.

I'm really hoping that there's a reason Babs was so cold to Dinah. I don't want them to not like each other and I'm hoping that they are still friends in this new continuity even if Barbara doesnt want to be on the new Birds of Prey. I love Dinah and Babs together and it would be a real shame if they don't like each other anymore

Maybe Dinah's done something that has driven a wedge between the two of them. But she obviously still cares about Babs and I'm sure Babs still cares about her even if she's unhappy with her about something

P.S. WW was excellent. Totally continuing that title. I even picked up Blue Beetle... was this an origin story? Wasn't it like pretty much the same as his original one? I remember the first one rather vaguely.

It was a little bit different but more or less the same and Jaime, Brenda and Paco all seem the same too

No Traci 13 though :csad:

I dont think they have been compiled yet. But I saw her in all the books. She was a little harder to find though then last weeks books.
Well that wouldn't be too hard. She was sorta center stage in some of last weeks books.

Because I love Babs.

I'm having a really hard time mentally reconciling what DC's done with Babs and how the BoP fits into the past and etc... At least DC did something right. I would not be reading Batgirl if Simone wasn't writing it.

I don't think there's ever been a time when Dinah's done something so horrible that Babs has treated her like that. However Babs seems to be working under the assumption Dinah is guilty, which is something Pre-reboot Babs never would have done. We don't even know their connection anymore because they seem to have retconned all of the original BoP story. At least the way they had Dinah phrase 'I'm still putting together that team.'

I thought so. Didn't his origin happen in 52? I LOLed at the El Paso setting... we give that place such a hard time. Artwork was fab and looked just like it.

Me too :)

Though I want her to end up with Dinah so I dont mind if Dick and Kory get together. I've always wanted Dinah and Barbara to be girlfriends and I would love it if that happened and they got together :hrt:

I'm having a really hard time mentally reconciling what DC's done with Babs and how the BoP fits into the past and etc... I guess, if I don't go looking for the information I won't know just by reading the comics? Batgirl establishes the shooting happened 3 years ago so did they uber compress her storyline to fit in BoP or just ignore it altogether. At lease DC did something right. I would not be reading Batgirl if Simone wasn't writing it.

The Birds of Prey stories still happened so yeah I guess all of those stories must have happened over the three years Barbara was crippled now. Which seems like quite a short time for all of that to happen in but at least they all still happened

And I agree i wouldn't be buying Batgirl if Simone wasn't writing it either. I hated the idea of Babs not being Oracle any more but Simone writing her as Batgirl convinced me to buy it

And I don't think there's ever been a time when Dinah's done something so horrible that Babs has treated her like that.

I have a hard time imagining what Dinah could have done to make Babs mad at her too

In Infinite Crisis which was just before 52

Haha I edited my post *sorry* I went back and re-read BoP *shudders*

I suppose, just the way Dinah phrased things and the way Babs reacted... Meh DC done messed up. :csad:

Ahh Infinite Crisis :hrt:

Hahaha no worries :)

Oh and just to let you know that whole 'suspected of murder' thing that was mentioned in this issue was from the last series of Birds of Prey and Babs knows for sure that Dinah is innocent

So whatever came between them it wasn't Dinah being framed for murder. Unless DC have retconned that and Babs now thinks that Dinah is a killer. If that's the case I'mma be :cmad:

Agreed I really don't like how cold and unfriendly Babs acted toward Dinah or how she refused to be part of the new Birds of Prey team :csad:

She was all: " ***** I am so above you! I've got a new roomie, and I'm rockin' a handicap van!"

Dinah was like: "K..."

I think she's maybe jealous of Starling and Dinah :ninja:

She doesn't like that some new character has come along and stolen her Dinah away from her :csad:

I personally dislike Starfire because she's a Marv Wolfman character, and he along with Frank Miller are most most hated comics writers. But I did like her (and Raven) on the Teen Titans animated series. That show (and Batman the Brave and the Bold) shows me that most of these characters work better when they're written for kids and not adult nerds.

Why do you hate Marv Wolfman Kurosawa

I have never heard anything really bad about him either as a writer or as a person. What makes you not like him

The Marv Wolfman of today sucks, just like Frank Miller, but back in the old days Marv is one of the greatest writers of all time if you ask me.

Whether he's good or not, I just don't get hating characters because of who happened to create them. It's not like the character has any say in that, or that they're going to be tied to that one creator for their entire fictional existence...

Yeah. I'm not a fan of Ditko as a guy by any rate, but I'd be damned if I didn't love Dr. Strange.

And I loves Spoiler even though I despise Chuck Dixon with all my hate

And while I don't like Frank Miller I :hrt: Elektra

I think Deadpool is comedy gold in the right writers' hands and Shatterstar is proving to be one of the most interesting characters in X-Factor right now. Both of those dudes were created by Rob f***ing Liefeld.

And lets face it, Leifeld is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to s**t creators. Hell, Moore even took his boos**t disproportioned Superman knock off and turned it into something awesome. No bad characters, just bad writers.

He wrote COIE.

Hard to believe anything he created could ever be good or funny. Unless it was funny by accident

Though I only started to be interested in Shatterstar when he showed up in X Factor and hooked up with Rictor. Love those two together

Yeah, I've only found Shatterstar to be interesting recently with the current direction of X-Factor. He was just bland and dull beforehand.

Well, he was created by Liefeld. Can't get too much out of that.

Also, I've heard some really, really, really bad things about Red Hood and the Outlaws. Anyone think it'll last?

I think it'll do okay. It's got a bit of star power thanks to the characters involved, and it'll probably appeal to people who dig anti-heroes who are really committed to moral bankruptcy. Which, sadly, is a lot of comic readers these days.

Is it true that they made Starfire a one-dimensional ****e?

I dunno, did they?
