DC Relaunching Everything? - Part 8

Wally should bring back the old continuity. Or at least remember it.

That would be a great story. Wally showing up and wondering what the **** is going on. It's not like the new earth is twisted or evil. Just different. He'll wonder how Kyle is around if the 90's JLA stories never happened. Or how Blackest Night happened without Anti-Monitor. Good questions Wally.

Rumored Wally West status from Bleeding Cool:

They need to punt and either pick it back up from Pre-Crisis or just completely start over. These half-ass reboots they have been doing for 25 years are crap.

I'd go for either one but the easiest way would just be a complete and total reboot and just get to all the characters when it's time. But that would mean long-term planning.

I think the next evolution in comics is creators just doing whatever they want with the characters in OGNs. No more line-wide continuity.

the market demands it

What market is that? The highest selling books are the event books that cross over all the continuity. I don't think Superman Earth-1 was exactly flying off the shelves.

If Dan Didio brings Wally back I will write him in as my vote for President this year. A story about Wally lost outside of space and time? Sounds like a job for Grant Morrison!

Ugh. No thanks. Return of Bruce Wayne was enough of a Morrison mind-**** as I can handle. I'm burnt out on that guy.

No just no

I hope DC never does that i don't want a full reboot and I hope that they never do a full reboot

I don't want the characters I care about like Batwoman, Renee Montoya, Scandal Savage, Maggie Sawyer, Bunker, Midnighter or Apollo to be rebooted or erased by some terrible reboot

I like the modern DCU. I dont ever want it to be fully reboot back to the beginning that would just be utterly boring to me and I'd quit buying DC products if they ever did

I love the post Flashpoint DCU overall and I hope they keep it this way

Nope she still exists that was confirmed in issue one of Batwoman :)

She just hasn't shown up yet but she will. DC are apparently trying to decide whether to have her as a costumed hero or back on the GCPD

well, apparently Vic Sage is rumored to show up during the Trinity War event coming up. Hopefully he'll be the only Question.

I actually liked Renee as the Question, but she pales in comparison to Vic.

Just speaking personally I prefer Renee to Vic but I like her as a member of the GCPD too so if she's not going to be a superhero any more I'm okay with that

I hope she appears again soon she's one of my favourite DC characters and one of my top three favourite 'Bat' characters :)

yes, we know that you prefer any lesbian character to anybody else ever. you can stop saying it.

Mysti, I know you love the gays, but it makes no ****ing sense to have Montoya be the Question instead of Vic.

I thought the story where she became the Question was really good and I dug her as the character :)

But like I say I'm okay with Vic being the Question again. I like Renee whether she's a superhero or a cop or if they do something else with her

Having her be a private detective could be cool

green lantern corps this week showed the anti-monitor. guess that means he survived the reboot?

Renee is soooooo much better as a cop. Or hell, that private detective thing you mention is a pretty cool angle.

Vic Sage is the Question, plain and simple.

Actually, it did so well that JMS quit doing monthlies to write a sequel, and marvel ripped off the whole approach with their "Season One" books.

If Supes: E1 did well, Batman: E1 will sell gangbusters.

While the main event minis sell at the top of the charts, the market has changed dramatically to where ongoings don't get much of a boost anymore from events and minis flat out bomb.

There's a reason why Marvel has limited the tie-ins to Avengers vs. X-Men to just Avengers, New Avengers, Secret Avengers, Avengers Academy, Uncanny X-Men, Wolverine & the X-Men, and X-Men Legacy and is only putting out one miniseries for the event with AVX: VS.

I don't think Superman Earth-1 was exactly flying off the shelves.
Actually, Superman: Earth One was a pretty big success for DC.

Yep either of those would be cool :)

It would be neat seeing how she interacts with Bullock now he's back on the force and Maggie now that she's dating her ex girlfriend

Also she needs to get back together with Daria. I liked Renee with Kate but Renee with Daria is a pairing I prefer

Vic Sage is the Question, plain and simple.

I prefer Vic in the cartoons but i certainly don't hate him in the comic books :)
