DC Relaunching Everything? - Part 9

Met too, to be honest.

Also, Batman needs to drop the shiny armor--like, now. Capullo and company do a good job of it--they tone down the unnecessary lines and the suit has a material texture instead of looking like shiny metal--but in Justice League and some other appearances, it just looks wrong. As with pretty much everything Lee designed for the New 52, it looks ten times better when someone else has cleaned up the design. Case and point, Cliff Chiang on Wonder Woman versus Jim Lee on Wonder Woman. Justice League is scribble city.
I like how Lee draws the seams thin and techy. Capullo's are as thick as those on the Inc suit which i hated.

But Lee overdoes it with the seams and lines and crosshatching and he gives batman Nolan's neck brace :whatever:. And of course there's the gloss he and Daniel like to put on the suit. Or is it down to the colourist?

Good example with WW though. Everyone but Lee draws the Chiang version, even Ha who worked on JL for a couple of issues. But Lee is the co-publisher, he does what he wants even if his design has been improved by others.
Also, ditch the bat-head kneepads. They're junk.
Agreed. WTF were they thinking?

And bring back the Bat-codpiece
Really?
I personally prefer the tshirt and jeans myself. :o
I like it as a Superboy - early years suit. But full time for a grown up superman? I dont think he'd look right next to the others in the JL.

The rest of the Justice League isn't in Action Comics. :o

That's the sad part and what most SV fans don't seem to understand is that show's rep has put a lot of people off to this book and it is a shame but this book is very good. I want to say it is the second best Superman book we have so far. But in the same I can see why people are so put off considering all the things SV has done including how some may not like how they are doing Batman.
While there were surely and most definitely parts of SV that I loved, I'm actually somebody who was hesitant to even get into this comic season, because after years of disappointment (I stuck with this show through thick and thin), I was okay and kind of happy with how things ended. But I'm glad that I did. It just keeps getting better and better.

I'm open to seeing what they are doing with Batman. Never thought I'd see this Clark meet Batman, and I know they had wanted to bring Bruce on at some point but they couldn't. So it's definitely exciting.

Agreed while I am not thrilled that Steph is Nightwing I am looking forward to seeing Clark meet Bruce. Also I agree with you as well that this book just keeps on getting better. But than again I think that's because the world can finally open up and we finally have Superman and they don't have time for all the silly and stupid stuff Smallville was known for. Had this been done on TV I don't think I would have liked it as much because I just have a feeling they would have found some way to mess it up.

I'm just happy to get more Steph :atp:

She's more cute fun than a whole meadow of playful happy puppies

I'm kind of excited that Steph is Nightwing in the Smallville verse.

interested to see how they portray her.......

It's written by the same writer who did a great job on Steph's ongoing so I think its going to be good :)

She's been dropped from the book. DC replaced her with Babs.

Same here :(

It would be nice if they brought her back as Spoiler at some point

Bleeding Cool is reporting that the Books of Magic cast will be joining Justice League Dark with Neil Gaiman's approval and that he may be returning to Sandman with J.H. Williams III.

That... actually sounds interesting. First time JLD's looked at all appealing to me since its first couple issues bored me to tears and made me drop it.

Neil Gaiman has confirmed that he is returning to Sandman in 2013 with J.H. Williams III. Now I'm considering on dropping Batwoman.

Eh, I think Batwoman can still be good with Blackman and McCarthy.

If they stay on.

Just end it, Batwoman is far too easy of a character to mess up.

Batwoman's been on the fence for me for a while. If Williams III leaves that's not going to help its case.

Isn't it possible that Williams came still write the book? Or even plot it? Eh. Whatever. If they cancelled it, I'd let out a hearty laugh. Then I'd feel sad. But then I'd let out a hearty laugh again.

More Sandman. This is good. Really good.

As amazing as Williams' art is, you people are totally ignoring the fact that Blackman is actually a really good writer himself, and is probably responsible for a good amount of Batwoman's current quality.

Once this out of sequence arc is over, I'm sure it'll be back to its usual level of awesome.
