Superman in the post-Flashpoint DCU is a bit edgier than we're accustomed to.

Hasn't that kind of always been their problem under DiDio? Numerous jilted creators have indicated that DiDio just randomly changes his mind about stuff every two seconds, which is why a lot of things in the DC universe are such a mess.

You can just tell there's no universal cohesion.

Before there was at least some cohesion with intermittent bouts of Didio-ness, now it's just a total mess.

To play Devils Advocate I'd rather have no universal cohesion than a supposedly shared universe that acts nothing like it is.

I know, I'm saying I'd rather have this instead of something like Marvel and DC a year ago where everything needed an event to tie it all together.

That ship has sailed, I think. Even if the big 2 wanted to exercise more strict editorial control at this point, I doubt they could. The big names they've attracted by basically saying, "Hey, you can do whatever you want!" are too accustomed to it to deal with another Shooter-esque, iron-fisted editor breathing down their neck to change stuff because of little things like established personalities or contradicting what one of their colleagues just did a month ago.

Superman and Wonder Woman coan work. Just look at Kingdom Come and all the other countless stories. The problem is just don't make them boring and I trust Johns won't since he put together my other favorite super-couple Conner and Cassie (and it better happen again and put Tim but with Steph) anyways I think Johns will do a great job writing them and 9 out 10 you'll only see the effects of the relationship in the Superman titles since the Wonder Woman title seems to be off in its own world almost. Since Post Crisis Wonder Woman and Lana have pretty much shared the same role as two women who are in love with Superman but settle for his friendship instead. However it will be interesting to see Lois reaction to all of this considering if you go off Perez run she some what knows he is Superman and has feelings for Clark. If it were me though if you wanted to give Superman a new love interest I would have introduce Maxima.
