The X men comic books have gotten really good and fun lately I'm really digging them

The stories are good I like the heroes and villains of the cast and best of all for me there are lots of well written lgbt characters which are the kind if character I really love to read about and care about and enjoy reading :)

So I'm loving them right now

The last time I read Uncanny and the regular X book monthly Brubaker and Carey came in to do some of the most mediocre stuff they've ever done in comic books. I had enough and dropped them for good. Good to see that you're enjoying them for genuine reasons though and not just because you couldn't stop collecting.

Uncanny has defunitely gotten much better since then

The X men are facing off against Mr Sinister this qeek who has cloned himself into an entire species

Also he has a zoo full of cloned X men including a habitat of Gambit clones he's taught to talk with the accent 'Because its so folksy and charming' :awesome:

I can't even fathom how people could still read X-Men books. Then again for the most part I find Marvel books boring as ****.
I stopped buying monthlies altogether around 2006 basically because of space, stupid stories and the high prices, and back when Wizard was in print that would keep me updated on everything I'm missing.

Stormwatch this week looks pretty fab

Apparently its focusing on the Engineer who was pretty amazing back in the Wildstorm comic books

I have to join the chorus and disagree with you. There's a ton of good X-Books right now.

Wolverine and the X-Men has been the most fun incarnation of the X-Men I've read in years. It captures a little bit of the magic of Claremont's original run, but does it while tackling very different subject matter. The characters themselves are young, fresh, and both different - yet complimentary to the X-Men teams of the past, and the stories have walked an effective tightrope between solid character drama and a lot of sci-fi concepts.

Uncanny X-Force is one of the best books out there currently in general. Remender has a real flare for macabre gore, and his collection of characters in UXF are perfectly tailored to that creepy and visceral storytelling - and despite the often dark and grotesque subject matter, the book still manages to maintain somehow light and humorous at the same time.

And X-Factor has been probably the most consistently quality title in the past 10 years in comics. With the renunbering, I'm not sure exactly how many issues he's written, but PAD has to be around 100 issues in, and he's really breathed and incredible amount of life and drama into his cast; and due to the length of his run, they've really managed to develop a very true character progression that inspires actual care and concern for them.

Those are the ones I buy consistently. Uncanny isn't bad either. Legacy has grown unfortunately mediocre, and everything else is, has, and always will be pointless to read anyway. :o

X Factor is so good forgot to mention that one on my list of marvel books I'm buying but I'm digging that series so much right now

Rictor and Shatterstar are one of my favouritest comic book couples too :atp:

And Uncanny X Force is indeed fun on a bun right now. I'm digging the new Brotherhood of Evil Mutants

Jaime and Layla are better. :o

Creepier too. :o

It's absolute fact that Uncanny X-Force and Wolverine and the X-Men are killer books.

Astonishing X-Men is picking up as well, though I wouldn't put it up with Uncanny, W&tXM, or Uncanny X-Force.

I'm loving Liu on Astonishing right now

The issue about Northstar and Kyle's wedding was one of the sweetest comic books I've ever read and I loves how many lgbt characters are in the cast. These are the kind of comics and the kind of characters i want to read

Cant wait to see more of her writing Karma in future issues. Bad ass lesbian telepaths ftw

Jaime and Layla are better. :o

Lies all lies :o

Creepier too. :o

True

You and your love of creepy blonde ladies who know stuff :o

So I was reading through that 90's Marvel vs. DC last night and it wasn't as bad as I remembered... slightly enjoyable even.

What? It's a segway?

Stormwatch was pretty neat this week the new villains that Milligan introduced were a pretty cool concept I thought

Before Watchmen helped DC take the market share back over Marvel. Justice League and Batman were the only DC books to outsell Watchmen. Avengers Vs. X-Men were still the top-selling books though.

Well if you want you can look at it another way. If Marvel didn't put out an event book every single week of every single month would they even be in the top 10?

soooo......I'll ask again.....lol

any word on Raven??

If Marvel didn't overprice over half their line would they be anywhere near the top 10?

Avengers vs x men has been awful on a waffle though :(

But the tie ins have been neat :)

Awful on a waffle
Fun on a bun

I need to start writing these down.

There is also 'fail in a whale' and 'awesome like a possum' which are some of my other catch phrases :)
