Eh, I don't think giving the big names too much power is really DC's problem, at the moment.That ship has sailed, I think. Even if the big 2 wanted to exercise more strict editorial control at this point, I doubt they could. The big names they've attracted by basically saying, "Hey, you can do whatever you want!" are too accustomed to it to deal with another Shooter-esque, iron-fisted editor breathing down their neck to change stuff because of little things like established personalities or contradicting what one of their colleagues just did a month ago.
The real issue with them seems to be inexperienced editors unnecessarily ****ing around with the smaller creators and smaller books.
